My father in law is a talented meat man and he turned me onto letting steaks soak in a brown sugar, garlic, soy sauce, worcester, salt and pepper marinade. I mightve bought a steak in a restaurant twice in 6 years since I've been doing em like that.

Any other way, save yourself the trouble and just take your boot off and get to gnawin. Marcus welby jerky imo.

I used to put enough ketchup on mine to cover the over cookededness. Now that I’ve switched to just medium, no ketchup or steak sauce, just steak.

I too was once a medium well guy. Slowly through the years it moved towards medium and then finally I tried carpaccio and it blew my mind. Completely raw beef sliced super thin. Unreal. From then on I liked it on the rare side of medium.

Clean the feet and put it on the plate for me! I seer each side about 3 minutes and take it off the grill! Now if it's a super thick steak I'll go 3.5 minutes on each side :D

    1 for me.

Olive oil/butter, salt, pepper and garlic. Throw it on the grill for quick sear.

    Re: Poll

2-3, prefer 2 but so few restaurants can actually get it right that I just take what I can get. If I'm at home it'll get cooked in the cast iron skillet with butter and finished on the grill...cuz ya know grill marks are kinda required.

About the poll, I prefer 1.75 doneness, but no one seems to be able to do it.

    Just finished our taxes.

After entering my wife's info we were getting back $1,000.
After entering mine, we were paying in $4,000.
After adding deductions, we are paying in $300.

That's the closest to zero we've been in years.
