Truck wont start !! Help

2019 push start tacoma . Won’t start ! Changed the battery won’t start . Changed key fob won’t start . All fuses are good . The truck says check charging system and brake system . Brake light is stuck on dash and the brake is stiff . Any one knw to fix this issues before having it towed in ?

 

Does it turn over or just nothing. If nothing might want to see if you have any codes then unhook battery completely, wait for a bit and hook it up again to try to reset it.

 

Also, what was modified / changed before this?

 

Did you try holding fob next to push to start button?

 

Have you multimetered the new battery?

 

What does that mean...the hand brake or the pedal? If its the pedal its the result of using up the vacuum when the engine is not running. Not a problem. However, I think there is a requirement for the brake to be applied in order for the "push to start" system to engage the starter. That is why nothing is happening. Probably a brake switch issue. One of the reasons I like a simple key.

 

You can override the brake by holding down the button for 15 seconds

 

I wonder if the OP has read the last two replies.

 

Those warnings indicate bad battery.

Welcome to the forum

Try pushing/shaking the shifter in the park position. On older vehicles the brake light would illuminate if you tried to start the vehicle when it wasn't all the way in park or neutral. Probably not the issue but doesn't cost anything to try.

bought a new battery. But no luck

I have after market lights , tires , exhaust really basically it . I thought it was the tail lights but all the fuses are good
