Nah Ill go mid travel for a couple years before SAS.

Talked to JDFab, said theres no issue other than a heavy steering wheel. I sent some pics of the cams after the alignment, waiting to see what they say. If I need to swap to the JDFab UCAs I will. Going from 8 to 4 degrees of caster will gain me even more tire clearance so…

I'm just shocked. I mean, you got quite a bit of clearance on those - you said 35's right? Regardless, I'm enjoying watching from afar! haha

Ha, yeah but I want to be able to go fast offroad and also turn the wheel in slow rocky sections. That clearance quickly evaporates when the tire travels upward.

Oh not shocked that you're trying to improve it! I'm shocked you were at 8*!

    Haha!

It drove just fine but not better except in the rocks

This was on a 93 4 runner at least 25 yrs ago, I understand it's even more work involved on the newer rigs because of the frame re enforcement ect.

Now, I'm a solid axle fan, but I haven't gone past just thinking about going SAS on the Tacoma, because I don't feel like it would do much of anything for the way i use that truck. I think a solid axle is good in the extremes, but I think a well built IFS is more than capable and I'm still surprised at how well my little tacome goes where I point it.

But your right, it sure LOOKS cool, and gets attention from all the boys. Oh those were the days, all the boys mostly ignore me now, so lonely.

My wife gets asked all the time at gas stations about her truck. To the point where she actually got interested in learning things so she could talk back.

just be aware that you agreed it also has - cooking and sleeping facilities, refrigeration, heating/cooling, drinkable water supply, toilet (but not under class b), and all the above must be permanently installed.

your vehicle does meet the requirements of any motor home classification. this can lead to claims issues and possible cancellation/rescission/non renewal of your policy.

    just a head’s up!!

Managed to score this whole shebang for just a hair under 1900 and it's all brand new! :D

Still debating whether or not to switch the front sway bar to the thinner "Limited" sway that comes with XREAS. Won't do much for articulation (if anything??) but it will make the front feel softer over bumps without being an outright delete.

Just don't get caught out there during a flash flood, have 2 vehicle's break down, get cut off from rescue service on the ground due to flooding and have to be rescued by Heli.. you'll be fine.

Back in high school.. some buddies and I took our POS first vehicles out there with a bunch of girls and booze for a weekend at the hot springs, and ultimately ended with a search and rescue mission that was on the news. That was my first time out there... Lol
