Also, I send a lot of customers his way; My millionaire friend who lives in West Virginia doesn't even bother going to a mechanic in his state. He just brings his Mercedes to Pete if it needs work and he's in the area!

Other two coils just shit the bed; Truck misfires on startup but my mechanic deemed it safe to drive until can get the other two coils that weren't in stock yesterday. Bringing it in on Monday morning...

Same issue happened to my 05 Sequoia. Instead of trying to fix it, we dumped it for the Taco, lol.

My truck is paid off and has had about $20K in work done to it since November 2021 that I didn't have to pay for, so I'm keeping it. The frame was replaced under recall right before Thanksgiving, my dad bought me new suspension including a 2" lift and new front shocks as a Christmas gift, and the passenger door had to be replaced last month because of a freak accident at a scrap metal recycling facility that wasn't my fault. I'd be crazy to get rid of at this point, especially when a used SR is going for new Off-Road money!

It was supposed to be a car show in the parking lot of Hoss's Steakhouse in Annville, but even though the weather report said no rain after 3pm it rained while I was driving up there and scared a lot of people off; Less than half a dozen vehicles showed up, but I went exploring elsewhere as you can see...

A/C? I've seen some pretty basic Sunbirds, but I don't think I've ever seen one without A/C!

Yes it did have AC! I remember specifically because I went through two compressors in my time with it

I heard those Delphi-Harrison compressors were rather iffy; Did you leave it R-12 or convert it R134a when it was replaced the first time?

I did the R134a retrofit, because at the time enough r12 to fill it would’ve cost as much as the compressor :bananadead:

That's about the time it got to be prohibitively expensive not to, unless you knew someone licensed

At the time my dad was friends with an AC guy, and even his cost was just utter insanity. Much less expensive to do the conversion!

I was lucky in the late 90s to know a building HVAC guy..my 88 Celebrity had zero freon when I got it, cost about $30 to zap the system and it was frosty for the 4 more years I had the vehicle.
