Finally starting to get somewhere on the ass end of this thing. I have so much time absorbed back here it’s disgusting. But, I wanted to focus heavily back here because I always knew it was an issue.

I regret not going to a v8, but my fear of wiring to make it work stopped me

If anyone needs some 18” x 2.5” king coilovers for a rear 4 link project I have a set that are almost new

Some snags along the way, but things are coming together really well. Creeping up on 200 hours since March 3rd.

Wiring wasn’t too bad, I ran a psi conversions stand alone harness and just tapped in for the tach and speedo under the dash. Makes it easy that it comes with its own fuse box and relays for everything so there’s not much to have to wire in. One day I might strip my factory wiring down to bare bones to save some weight and make things cleaner under the dash and what not.

The new stand alone systems sure are tough to beat. I’ve done a handful of different brand systems now and just about all of them are all basically plug and play. Hardest part of swapping these trucks is packaging.

All you guys rocking the KMC beadlocks make me a bit envious. Forged or no? They’re nice

Yeah samsies. Plus I got mine used from a street truck and only paid $350 per for essentially brand new wheels, couldn’t pass up that deal.

Thanks, I really like it. The previous owner had the machined ring Powder-Coated which I wouldn’t have done but I like how it looks.

I really like mine. Seem super solid. They are also one of the lightest out there as well which was one of my big selling points. Think I saved like 8lbs of rotating mass from my second choice.

One thing I find fucky is their actual weight is way more than their advertised weight. They tote them as being like 34 lbs but they’re actually 41 lbs. Maybe they don’t account for the ring and hardware? I don’t know, but my current wheel/tire combo is 111 lbs and it’s hefty.

edit with pics. Tire is 70 lbs. Old wheel is 28.2 lbs, making the old setup 98.2 lbs.

New combo is 111 lbs making the wheel 41 lbs since the tire is still 70 lbs.
