I wanted something temporary.. so I used one of these Nite Ize CamJams. They are awesome and I already plan on picking up some more for other stuff. Very useful.

So I ordered a SPC in December assuming a 12 Month lead time. Just got my Invoice, which is great but I am not financially prepared for it. Anyone figure out a way to finance one of these things? I was figuring on paying for it August/Sept not March. Suggestions?

depending on credit look for a 12-18 month zero percent credit card with 1.5 or more cash back. buys you some time i did this on one or 2 purchases just make sure you pay it off before the apr expires.

Haha, got it. That's funny, because that company's website claims current lead times are about 12 months.

I posted my curtain earlier, I just tied a length of paracord across the rear hatch. You could similarly tie cord across within the canopy, there are plenty of tie points. Mine is just a window covering not really a curtain, but it should work well for curtains too if you want to go this way. I used stick-on velcro to hold it in place at the bottom. The goal was just to keep people from looking in when the truck is parked.

Saw my first X1 locally in San Diego tonight. Which one of you was it? Heading north on Nimitz Blvd at West Pt Loma Blvd. There are quite a few Drifters, GFC and other around but the SP logo on the side door is easy to spot, even in the dark :)

Not sure....it was dark out and I wasn't really paying attention til the SP logo caught my eye. To be honest couldn't even say if it was 2nd or 3rd gen, SB or LB. I figured location heading out of Pt Loma should be enough to call someone out lol.

So I’m not the handiest guy, especially with electrical so I didn’t really know how to wire up the power to the SP bed outlet. I bought a Dometic fridge wire kit and modified it. Super easy except the power cord was about 2 feet short of the outlet near the tailgate so I moved it up to the front of the cap. Tan the wire along the frame with some zip ties and brought it up between the cab and bed then tucked it under the SP through that weird little gap Toyota has in the bed. It works!7A40B652-38E6-497F-AA14-0881F91C763A.jpg55A1647B-3E78-4A79-877E-F5C4E6E46AA6.jpg

Thanks @JasonLee and @econwatch for the info regarding Dobson and leaf stuff

I intend on mostly doing washboard roads and mild off-roading.

the issue here is I do not own a Taco yet. We are decided on a 3rd gen. I feel fairly resolved on a 4door SB. Haven’t quite figured out why I’d buy a TRD off-road if I am going to have to change rims/tires/leafs anyways? (I’m aware it has locking diff). Otherwise there isn’t much difference between a stock TRD sport - Off-road is there?
