no. stuck to the grass and the camper/truck so it look like it snowed. rained for a little bit after dark too.

We were there late May first part of June and the weather was great. But the guy that checked us in at headwaters campground said two weeks earlier they were plowing snow out of the roads in the campground.

that area is pretty high elevation - the south entrance is one of the last to open every year because of the snow.

it can get wild out here. last year on my vacation trip mid may i went from mid 70's one day to snow 3 days later, a week of rain after that, and then it was like someone flipped a switch and it was sunny and 70's again

My boss in the 80's scored us some lucrative accounts. My coworker & I got substantial raises. So, we went to the mall on payday & bought something similar to these:

We go into work the next day & the boss goes "c'mon guys, you can't wear that" lol.

Have a wonderful Sunday, ladies & gents

As I mentioned it is very tasty and is very easy to make

Cajun / Creole Gumbo ... can be made with a variety of sausage or seafood -shrimp

Zatarians Cajun Creole Gumbo seasoning and rice mix

Andoulli sausage cut into thin slices

One yellow onion chopped 1 cup

One red bell pepper chopped 1 cup

Three celery sticks chopped 1 cup

    One can stewed tomatoes

    6 cups water

    1) Brown sliced Andoulli sausage in frying pan , once cooked place the sausage into a large pot

2 ) add in the Zatarain's Gumbo rice / seasoning mix in with the sausage , Add the 6 cups of water

    3) add in chopped onions , bell pepper and celery and can of stewed tomatoes

    4) Mix all ingredients together and let it come to a boil ( stir every few minutes)

    5) Reduce to simmer for 25 minutes

    6) let cool for 5 minutes then serve and enjoy
