I have never used that stuff. It'd probably put me in a coma since I don't really have a problem falling asleep

Long story short a guy that came to ride last time broke his lower BJ and he basically said sucks and left him on his own to fix it and get it off the trail. @TRD Tyler and me tried to help the guy out to the point the wrecker could come and help. Just rubbed me the wrong way and some of the things he was saying did as well. I understand they like to hit it hard but egos are not something i like to be a part of. I just like to have fun off road and when someones stuff breaks we all help to get the guy home like we did with skip at chocc. It be like skip breaking down and the rest of just being like sucks we came here to ride so your on your own and we might or might not be back this way to help later.

Damn. I didn’t get that vibe from them. Everyone that broke something we helped at least get back to the main trail so they could limp back. They weren’t acting like lost puppies either though. I probably would have been  Both of them were trailered so they just hopped in with someone else. I’m not the kind to leave someone behind if they need help and yeah I can do without the ego shit, too. It’s not a competition.

This is literally why I've never built up any kind of experience riding. Back when I was in undergrad, I took my first truck out to an event. It was a 2wd, I was young, and just didn't know any better and lost traction in some dry sand. Couldn't get a single grown man with all their fancy rigs to help me out 'til some other kid in a Yukon came by. Years later I've had a lot of time up and down forest service roads by myself, but still don't really know "how to offroad" or whatever it is folks call it and I'm not even close to being a mechanic so I don't trust myself enough to cobble together a repair. Definitely can't afford to be off somewhere, break down, and be stuck in everyone's way. At the end of the day, I know it really all comes down to personal responsibility and not putting yourself in a situation you shouldn't be in. But it seems pretty cold to me to just leave somebody stranded for no reason.

I will say, I don't think anyone from the AL group would ever leave someone stranded.

Yup. When I was 2wd at coppingers cove, I got stuck maybe 4 or 5 times. Everyone was more than willing to stop and help

Hawks Pride is cool because each trail is accurately marked with a difficulty rating. It’s a really fun place because you can go as hard or as little as you want. Download the map and you can navigate it pretty easy

Definitely not. I wouldn’t expect anyone to hang around for me if they didn’t want to, but I’d help get anyone back to base or back on the road if they needed it. The guys that broke stuff this weekend were seasoned and it wasn’t a big deal for them to roll back down and back on the trailer by themselves. Wasn’t something you could fix on the trail anyways.

I might leave @Brian422 if he ever does a shitty job spotting though :crapstorm:

You should definitely go to TNF with us sometime. I think you would like the vibe.

Not too much. Just getting the week started. I took some buddies from church to TNF 600-1 yesterday. We had a '71 Bronco, an '03 Rubicon (which was mint), and a '00 Wrangler, plus my truck. We ran up to the top, then headed back the same way we had come in. I'd never run the trail that direction and it was fun. Not nearly as wet as I was hoping though.
