I know! Was surprised it's not a factory item too. But it would be just one more thing that COULD fail, so Toyota prolly erred on the side of caution and kept it out of the build.

These lights do a tremendous job of illuminating to engine bay. The tape is the really good 3M variation. No sign of drooping at all. The hood has sat in GA sun, CO sun, winters for both, and has been driven for 14 hours at a time going cross-country between the two.

I have the 2020 OR (DCLB)too. I only averaged 18 to 19 mpg when stock also--and I generally drive like a granny. Didn't change when I put my ARE mid-height--6"above cab aluminum topper on (has a sloped front on it). Seems the extra aerodynamics from the topper offset the weight. HOWEVER, just got a 2 1/2" lift and it looks like I am going to take at least a 1.5 mpg hit--seem to be more in the 16.5 to 17.5 mpg range now. I guess those people who get above twenty mpg must have the 4 cylinder engines.

Sticker removal finished! Next is black emblem overlays and Bumpershellz to delete the remainder of the chrome.

Despite the description, that cap is aluminum, not stainless steel. It says so lower down in the product description. Also, you don't anodize stainless steel. The many colors gave it away also as being aluminum.

That's my 1st upgrade when I finally get my white OR acess cab, also going with the all black bedside overlays. I don't have mine yet but already purchased the tailgate letters, the badge overlays, ordered the new back up lights and air compressor

I did the same a year ago. Ditched the sticker, blacked out the badges, and covered the rear chrome bumper. But since then I replaced the badges with a blacked out trd off road badge. The truck is always evolving!20210307_165608.jpg 20220402_175203.jpg

Custom, only one ever designed and built interiors, heavily welded frame, all sharp metal turned bed rack and a roof top I made for $75. Power pedal, injen intake system, cat delete, summit racing brake proportioning valve controlled on the fly, slightly adjusted or perhaps unrecognizable ECM, built in under bed storage, high clearance rear built with 1/4" on a 6011 1/8" rod at 120 amps, 360 degrees of led light, a PA and CB, on board air, on board propane (to cook food), on board fridge made from an old red bull fridge found on some guys man cave built into the storage cubby under the back seat, imported tranny and clutch from a good friend over in Europe to replace this aisin junk we get, combined 32 gallons fuel capacity, 18 5 gallons of water storage, built in gun locker under RTT, and all it cost was to hear the wife ramble on about upset neighbors at 2 in the morning every night since I bought that damn truck..
That could be a long list or a junkie randomly hitting cars for spare change. In all honesty, that door has been wrecked since day 3. Pipeline crew hit and run when I was heading back to my rig. I had 87 miles when it happened. Didn't call allstate then, damn sure ain't calling now. I'm gonna mad max the doors I think. Hell, why not?

Yeah... and the decals I just put on are just the most fitting description. I literally just had a dude in a stock Sr5 taco ask me if my truck was a built up 80s with a 3rd gen clip. Smh.

Bumper's on! I'd like the bar to be rounded instead of so angular, but this bumper will be enough for the stuff I use my truck for.
Next, some Rigid lights, and the sliders.

Sorry about the crappy pictures. It got dark pretty quick.

Put my new emblem on the tailgate with 3M 03614C molding tape:

My replacement LCAs didn't come with the anti-whistle hole plugs, so I had to order them separately, P/N 90950-01990. These have the number "8" molded on the head, same as two plugs in the frame rust spray kit. Each LCA takes 3 plugs, for 6 total. Decided to go OEM despite their cost, because the plugs are in a harsh environment, getting dragged over rocks.

haha, I mean after all the electronics you've ripped out of it you're not far from it. Hopefully they just replace and re-spray a new door instead of leaving that chewed up metal under a replacement handle.
