When I was an electrician back in the day I saw a framer drop his sheathing staple gun and it somehow shot him right in the fucking shin

Handed him my needle nose and watched him pull out the 1.5” staple that had crossed up on its way in :puke:

Im surprised. I thought you hunted too. I don't get down with hunting but the most disturbing thing i ever saw was a crazy FL redneck jump in a pen with a 200lb pink pig and gouge its throat with a big knife. Blood was pulsing out like 10ft every beat. Ill never forget that.

One guy, that's nearly dropped out of our class, uses a press brake and other heavy machinery at work.

Apparently his glove got caught on a grinder and pull his hand; he lost half his thumb that day.

Came in to class like 2 days later showing us his battle wound.

I damn near disemboweled myself with a twist wire wheel on a grinder.

Got SUPER lucky and it tore through my hoodie and jammed itself without leaving a scratch on me. Had to secure the grinder and sit down for a few minutes when the weight of what could have happened really hit me. So fucking stupid.

Animals are fine, I’ll clean/skin anything, until it’s rotten anyway.

But someone starts talking about a surgery they had and what they had done, I’m out

    Nope.

Never wanted that in my memory or on my soul. On top of just likely enraging me.

Grinders were by far the most dangerous tool in the shop at my last job. Sure, a lathe can fuck you up. But people not educated to use it are way less likely to use it than they are a grinder.
