Why would you "give up" anything?

Toyota care is the first 4 services free, correct? It doesn't specify only 2 free oil changes.

It does say normal maintenance for 2 years or 25k miles. Normal maintenance for my truck would be an oil change every 5k miles, as it meets the 'severe duty' criteria in the owners manual.

Read your service agreement. Toyota will not change your oil more than twice in the 2 yr./25K period unless you pay them. The work around is to get the “10K service” at 5K. I guess maybe you could try to get them to give you the “5K service” later on, but it’s a pretty pointless service because it, the 15K and the 25K don’t include oil & filter.

Wrong....it does. Tire rotations at 5K miles.....and two oil changes...either at 10K or 12 months whichever comes first. On my other Toyota vehicle the tires were not rotated until the 12th month due to mileage being only around 5K, but they also changed the oil, changed the A/C filter, added windshield cleaning fluid, and did an overall vehicle check. And they did the same thing 12 months later with my mileage being around 10K. My "free" maintenance on that vehicle is now over.

Apparently my dealer doesn't read the fine print either, lol.

I see now where it says "may exclude severe duty schedule", or something similar

they don’t really make exceptions for low milage owners.. you can request that they change out the oil though. This is coming from somebody who used to work service/parts at a Toyota dealership fyi.
