    Do NOT bolt in! Have them professionally welded in!! And make sure they know what they are doing…
    Makes me cringe when I see bolt in modifications to frames…
    I highly recommend some adjustable shocks I.e. QA1’s, Vikings or something similar. With the truck setting on flat ground measure the “Shock Ride Hight” there are instructions on both the mentioned shock sites. Read and Measure carefully… If you are using blocks the Shock Ride Hight should not change. Looking at the photos you posted of the rear from underneath the shocks on the truck now look close to bottoming out on themselves. Now remember I said look I can’t tell without seeing and or measuring. Someone with first Gen experience should have first hand experience & knowledge.

    Our “Reg cab” & “Access cab w/ a steel toolbox” have the same rear springs. The Access cab has 1/2 & 3/4” blocks on the rear with two different shock lengths. Our Reg cab has 1.75 & 2” rear blocks and the same rear shocks on both sides. Both trucks have the same size wheels & tires and the “Rear Ride Hight” is the same on both within a 1/16”.
    I’m changing the front coil-over mounting system on both trucks so that’s yet to be determined.

    Thanks again @Hayrider and @BananaMan , I didnt like the sound of bolt in c notches either!

    Anyone recommended or Tacomaworld members in SoCal able to weld in a c notch for me?

    sdyota in san diego can do it. beef has been out for a very long time. but he is the best. mine looks factory installed.

    Thanks for the info but we have two 2nd Gen’s. so I purchased these over priced POS below. I gave the blocks to whoever paid me for the shipping otherwise they would have ended up in the landfill. I then had the crappy powder coating removed. I have painted them with weldable primer so I just need to get my butt in gear and remove the stock riveted on bumpstops so they can get welded in. Then I will have to get the tailpipe remade to clear the axle movement. Does it ever end? :laughing:

    I'm running DJM Lowering control arms on my 86 Mini. No issues with them.. and the PC is holding up well for me. Bummer it wasn't the same for you.
