Sorry about your accident brotha, glad you're all ok. Definitely can say I've been there done that, I wrecked (rolled over) my first gen tundra a month and a half ago. I tell ya tho, shitty things happen, but then you kinda almost become glad they happened, since bigger and better things always seem to come out of it. (Still miss the tundra tho). Good luck on the new build and hope all turns out awesome!

Not famous, but with my YT channel over 35k subscribers I’m hoping to generate some partners to work with. I’m already working with Explorer Overland on the build, just looking for a lighting company to collaborate with.

Much appreciated bro, I’m down here at West Point and my buddy Zack is working the details for me at the dealership. I’ll let you know though! Again thanks!

No money, all went to truck...
I'm surprised insurance company allowing you to strip parts after paying you out. Usually if you take payout you forfeit the truck as is.

They aren't included in the adjuster's assessment so the collision center who has the truck actually want me to get all the parts off. They are owned by the Toyota dealer and Koch 33 modifies their inventory for off-road use so they understand how much money I have invested.

I'm not judging nor criticizing; simply curious, why don't you install the parts yourself? I've always found that to be the funnest and rewarding part (yet it's infuriating).

I don't have a garage, nor the tools to cut my rear fenders, or to cut the front end for their new bumper. I'm also not going to fuck up my truck by attempting to do gears without any experience whatsoever. Everything else, I have already installed on my old truck. I am doing all the interior modifications and will be doing the bed and roof rack myself.

I hear ya. I guess I often take for granted living in an area that garages/driveways are at every house. Also, the amount of tools I have from my career (construction superintendent).

Glad you and the kids are okay man; and just took a peek at your channel. Solid channel w/good diversity of things!

I-78 right down the road from me. This stretch of interstate is notorious for accidents and heavy truck traffic, best avoided if possible.

Much appreciated brother! Once I get back to Oahu I'll make sure I have a garage at my house. Also my collection of tools with grow drastically!

Once I get the truck I'm taking down all my old videos and uploading all the overland/off-road content.

Most of the pre-war interstates were not designed for modern traffic levels, in quantity of vehicles as well as sizes. I am sure this was / is part of old US-22 and was built in the late 40's / early 50's, and all they did was slap a jersey barrier down the middle, put down a fresh coat of blacktop, and called 'er done...

@johnmichael125 glad you are okay and just got pulled down the road a bit... I've seen too many YT vids where such entanglements end much worse.

Sorry to hear about the accident and that no one was hurt. While you are stripping your old taco you should cut rear bed and turn it into a trailer to match the truck. just saying and good luck looking forward to see the process in progress.

Don’t forget the supercharger to haul the weight of the TRD Bro catalog strapped to the truck. It will make driving it a lot more enjoyable.

I mean that truck was prolly worth 30 something grand, so did they total it based off the value of all the aftermarket suspension parts, aftermarket wheel, plus body panels?

They didn’t add in any of the aftermarket parts. I’ll say this, they’re giving me more than I paid for the truck originally.
