We've used ozone generators quite a bit to get rid of odors from many a rehab with great success. Smoke, urine and other stanks.

 

You had me at urine.

 

Have had some pretty nasty ones....

I helped a buddy on a flipper house like that...nasty AF

 

Classic hoarder house. They always make a nice profit when flipped.

 

Yeah needed a shower after walking thru ...

Don't know how people live like this.

 

I've got a neighbor across the street who's a hoarder. I've never seen the inside of the house, but the yard gets a compliance visit from the city every now and then thanks to my constant complaining. It's a mental disorder. They try and fill their mental voids with stuff or junk. Kinda sad.

 

Not to get graphic but there was evidence of "relations" no fluids or anything like that just some dvds, lingerie packages etc, in the one we cleaned out.

I had to help a friend clean out the home of a deceased relative of his whom had been a trash horder...

Never THE FUCK again.

Their mattress looked basically identical just had a large hole chewed in the side of it where there were (dead) rats nests.

I think the only thing that could have possibly made the smell any worse would be if they had died and began decomposing in the home.

There was both human and animal feces and urine in various places throughout the house.

I wore a hooded tyvek suit taped to old boots elbow length gloves also taped closed, goggles and a cartridge respirator.

Threw all of it away when I was done before even stepping foot in my own place and showered for what felt like hours.

Still make me feel disgusting and my skin crawls just thinking about it.

 

Getting the ozone going in the rentals then.

 

Can we just burn this thread?

 

How do people live like that? I’m 99% sure whoever lived there thought everything was a treasure. Makes me a little sick to my stomach.
