    Morning all !!

Welp I'm going to try to fool mother nature today (yeah, it's not nice to fool w/her):)

The snow shovels are going to be put away, the snowblower is getting cleaned and summerized, the plow is coming off the quad.

Hooking up the outdoor water hose.

Then the lawn mower and riding tractor will have an oil change, blades sharpened and decks cleaned.

I'm sure all this will come back and bite my butt:)

Glass half full people are nice to be around.

Good morning. Waiting for a delivery this afternoon. In the meantime I can get the garage ready for the delivery and practice the guitar.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Peoples! Back at the wiring today, or maybe panel making. Spice things up by finding the greenhouse drip hose I stashed somewhere.
Was a slow slog yesterday. Lots to clean up from connections that I didn't make!

Fun ride this weekend. 57F at the 8:00 AM start but got into the 80s during the day. The afternoon got a little windy, making it a fun challenge for the last hour of riding. Just had a blast, my knees did OK.

Funny you should say this. Every phase of this project has been exactly that.
    $800 in permits later..........

My builder (I know my limits) took the project to make some money naturally but really wanted the job because it is INTERESTING. Conceptually I could do most of it..........but hoisting a 6x10 16+ft beam..........

    Materials around $6K
    His charge around $4K
Permits, structural engineering approval, plans, etc..........$1500
    Licensed roofer $1500

    Just SAY $15K.

Closest local known name builders all in the $24-$32K range.

Good morning fellow Porchatonians! I took the plow blade off the ATV yesterday - still have the blade on the UTV if I need it.

Our grass here is just barely starting to green up and grow - no need to cut for another two weeks probably. Plus the ground is still soaking wet. Welcome to Spring in northeast PA.

Lynn and I will be working the bees today - time to de-winterize the hives and set them up for the season.

I'll be working with a surveyor, too, riding around the property. It's time to combine the two lots back into the original 1 for ease of eventual sale...and to cover that we ran our driveway in a totally different location than the original easement allowed through the larger lot. When you own both lots you can do what you want. :D

Aso, Lynn and I are scheduled to get the second Covid booster shot later this afternoon.

    Be safe out there!

Walked the property yesterday. Grass needs cut.. I'll hold off a while, rain forecast for the rest of the week. Resurrection lilies are up, right on schedule, bloom stems just now out of the ground. Forsythia blooms line both sides of the road for miles, brilliant this year. Pregnant birds at the feeders. Bluebird houses full. Life is so beautiful, and so very precious. These times make it even more so.

Nothing beats saving 8 to 15K on a project. Plus you are involved and know the quality and how the construction was completed.

LOL, every time you go racing or fishing you are a glass half filled guy!

Awning came late yesterday afternoon. Going to start unpacking today. Need to drill the vinyl siding blocks for the mounting brackets. Supposed to rain today.

Our weekend project arrived yesterday afternoon. The weight of the awning is 110 lbs. With packaging it is 185 lbs. I plan on cutting up the tube and using it for concrete forms for installing 4X4 posts and a shed we are going to install next year. 20220405_085318.jpg

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals. For no particular reason, it's supposed to be 98* today! And we didn't get a sniff of last nights rain.

Have to plan flexible today - need a very specific size ring terminal for wiring; that I will probably have to go everywhere here in town to find. Made some panels for the cleanup, and they got painted. In my defense @Tacoma Mike, every splice you see in those tangled wires was not me, they were all straight - in a harness, and all are for aux lighting; nothing to do with the AC that the ASE Covid catching tech was fixing. I found even more cuts and splices yesterday. Nothing to do with AC. I'm literally cutting everything out, and starting over. Waiting on a trim from Amazon, other than that. We'll see how far I go.

Project looks, like, totally tubular, Tom!

:pccoffee:  My sister and I went to the headstone store yesterday and picked out one for mom & dad. It was kind of funny because we had been hearing stories about how the stone isn't available and takes months or longer to get, etcetera and so on. We took a look at a stone they had there and both of us said "that one." So much for that! The process will still take a while because they're still not pouring foundations yet due to changing weather, plus we're in a queue built up over winter. We should have the stone in place by summer.

Today I am going to start wrapping up the tax stuff. It might bleed into tomorrow depending on how long it takes me to start seeing double from all the federal forms. o_O

Our spring has been fairly miserable yours sounded just like our week.

We still have a running Winter Storm Advisory. I can't even try right now, too wet. The winter crops I have planted ARE popping up though and looks like the hail yesterday didn't destroy them. My potatoes are just stuck in time. They want warmth!
