    :eek::eek::eek: Glad I was sitting down when I looked at those Winston rods!

    I haven’t fished in years either. When I last did it was all salt water off my big boat too. I’m looking to just mess around and enjoy myself with the fly rod. Two votes for the Tenkara. I was intrigued by them but wasn’t sure if it would be something to start out with or if it would be more of an advanced class thing.

    I’ll check that out.

    Sticker shock isn’t uncommon in fly rods and I would not recommend the expense until your hooked. But after the hook is set what you get for your money made in the USA and a guarantee that will be around longer than we will be able to stumble around in a creek filled with bowling ball sized slick rocks. When I was discussing the warranty and what’s covered at orvis when I bought mine the guy in the rod shop told me if you back up right here break it over your knee we will fix it.
