engine running power source in cab 19 pro

I've been prodding with a test light and searching the forums for hours. All I can seem to find is "how to make your cigarette lighter constant on".. I just need a 12v RUN power source to tap into in the cab. I only want it on when the engine is running. . I really didn't think it'd be this hard to find one.

This looks like the driver kick panel fuseblock. Unfortunately all these fuses are hot on ACC. I may have to tap from EFI fuse or something underhood and run through firewall. I was hoping to avoid that..

 

engine running power = IGN

 

I will check again tomorrow, but my test light lit up on every fuse, key on engine off (KOEO). The only exception was tail lamp and panel, which required the lights to be on, but also were hot KOEO once lights were switched on. I'm using the tap as activation for a 300amp solenoid. I don't want the winch to be switched on without the engine running.

 

Depending on how and what you want to power. These are 2 options that have worked great for me.

Update. Been through both fuse boxes and countless inline connectors multiple times; this type of circuit doesnt seem to exist on 3rd gen. Both in the cab and under the hood. Everything lights up with 'IGN'. I'm throwing in the towel. I already have a battery feed on a relay activated by IGN it powers my light bar and a couple other goodies.

 

Sorry, I know you tried everything, but just in case...I believe the 10A Washer slot is what you want? I had a similar issue with the ECT Always On mod, and moving the power to the 10A Washer would only power-on with the engine and not ACC mode.

 

I think it's something to do with the keyless, like the '2nd click' of the key turns everything on like the engine is running when it isn't. The work around would be something activated by vacuum or oil pressure and that's more in-depth than I'm trying to get. I'm just gonna go with the 'don't push the button until it's time' strategy.

 

Add-a-fuse to dome or hazards. Low amperage only to trigger a relay, of course.
