What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

greased all 14 of my zerks - 4 UCA, 4 LCA, 4 on the rear driveshaft, and 2 on front driveshaft. I think one is going bad, as I had a difficult time squeezing in the grease.

I painted my roof jet black last saturday. Before I put the headliner back up im doing sound deadener on the roof and back of the cab this weekend. Also have a martin roof rack going on in the next week or two.

Tacos look so slick with a black roof. Nice little subtle mod.

 

If I saw your truck in the wild, I would think "that guy likes doing truck mods". Is that paint or dip on the back flap? We got another 4" of snow this morning so I'm jealous of all you guys who are able to do truck stuff right now. I have a list and it's not getting done!

 

I have had hell finding a fitting for my grease gun that will fit into the front driveshaft zerk and then be able to get the damn thing off without unscrewing it and yanking like hell with vice grips.

That's cool. Easy to maintain when they get dirty.

 

Hopefully...thinking of only running them in the winter when the roads get heavy with salt. I honestly love the no flaps look too. Just how much of the tire you can see...

 

Ha ha! I’m going to wait for my print to crack and will then do the same.

 

I did the rear diff breather mod yesterday. The old one was completely clogged, no air in or out. Speaker upgrade just got delivered today, and the sound deadening should be here in time to get all of that done this weekend.

 

So I knew my factory head unit has been going out for a while. My drivers door speakers don't like to work all the time but then I got in the other day and now both fronts aren't working and the backlights on it were flickering like crazy. But my luck the head units I want are all backordered on Crutchfield for who knows how much longer.

EDIT: I just opened the page and its in stock! Fuck yeah!

 

Refinished my headlights. This Texas sun is no joke on plastics

 

I replaced my leaking rear axle seal. Then replaced cylinder that I damaged. Next, I replaced shoes but not the drums. Now I just realized I need drums bad. Auto parts store here I come.

 

Deleted the Rear Seats and made a slide for the fridge cooler

 

Well, maybe I’ll take the Cerakote kit back and order some of that spray clear. Did you sand them? What grits if you did?
