The last time I went there, i got the feeling that they had alot of inventory, but no desire to sell it. Your experience might be different though.

Sounds like solid logic to me. At the end of the day being in two wheels with no debt to do so is more freeing and fun than the stress of another unnecessary loan. I said get the Yami earlier, but given this info go for whatever one puts a smile on your face without a dent in your wallet! I know I often think of how many used bikes I could afford for the price of one fancy new one… and my n+1 kicks in ha.

Going to keep my eyes open the rest of the week and see what pops up on the used market. Owe way more than I was thinking on the Tacoma, so piling 4k on top of that just isn't something I want to do right now. Appreciate all the input though!

Looked at those MT's but really, REALLY want the current SP version, mostly for the suspension! I kept reading about how wonky the older models can get in the turns...

I've got my CRF supermoto! She's good on gravel and dirt! Just the tank is so darn small. I found I've got about 95 miles until I hit the reserve. I went another 25 miles after that, so total range is 120ish...

    Nice video! Where is that?

This past weekend I rode to the Signal Knob Trailhead, thinking the fire road at the bottom would get me up to the tower. Nope, just got me to a little cabin about 3-400 yards up... lol.

@FreshOldTaco I remember this bike from when I was on fz09.org forums. You should definitely do this or at least TKC80s

Looks cool but is probably not practical. When I switched from pilot powers to shinko 705 on my DRZ supermoto the nimble handling went out the window. I suspect this would be the outcome on a FZ/MT-09 as well.

Would be fun to try them out! Ground clearance is the other issue so good idea adding a skid plate.

I’ll get a supermoto or dual sport eventually…

stunt cage is probably not practical either. Just go for it!

Im still deciding on Bridgestone Battlax AX41 or Shinko 804/805. Maybe Motoz too. I dont know

    Man that looks good.

I wanted to throw some of those on my bike but I'm wary of how confident I will feel when i take it to the twisties on weekends.

As a person who spent most of his life on knobbies or 50/50s at best, and finally switched to a couple 80/20 options on dirt bikes just a few years ago, and now has street bikes… I will say don’t go with knobbies if you love confidently leaning on pavement haha. I’m willing to make the compromise on smaller bikes to go anywhere. But on a heavy bike, street tires only for me, even as a lover of 50/50 rubber and going places I definitely shouldn’t. No fun on a heavy street bike.
