You have no clue where he ran. I used to have to go up a ten mile dirt road for my work. Simply drive behind a coal truck for a few miles on a dirt road and let me know how your paint would look.
Not defending Toyota paint. Defending the guy who drives it. Don't make dick posts.

All the $330k taco build threads are titled “gas mileage sucks!”

With the old tundra i replaced the plugs every 30k miles....was a good thing they were only $1.50 apiece.

Don't say the paint looks great with it doesn't. Don't say the absence of paint is the result of "paint wear" and mileage when its obvious that its the result of improper painting by the manufacturer, especially on the side rails of the doors.

I actually think it is a combination of road debris and poor paint. The SW of this age is prone to it by the windows due to poor craftsmanship, and the leading edge of the hood is prime area to get peppered by grit.

    Congratulations.
My 17 Tacoma SR just cracked 30000. Those 8-mile round trips to work 5 days a week really put the miles on fast. At this rate I'll be up to 330000 miles like yours in 50 years. Doubt it will be me doing that unless I can make it to 112 years old.
Seriously that is impressive what you have done. I saw yahoos grumbling about the paints condition. Why do people need to be doing that? That Tacoma earned the right to have a few paint blisters.

Transmission drain and replace every 15k? That’s insane, but it’s your money….
My 2015 Tacoma had 235,000 on original fluid when I got rid of it in 2019. My 2019 now has 120,000 on original fluid. Toyota techs have always advised me to NOT touch the tranny fluids, ever :crapstorm:

    no, just one :jerkoff:

Actually you're own first post was the one that claimed that it was bad paint and "oh look at my low mileage ford and how the paint is pristine, even though I have no pictures of it." I just tried to remind you that in that paint job part of it could be wear from 330k miles vs 120k miles. But apparently you live in a vacuum and there is no element wear there. Which is fine. IS there a chance that it is the known white paint problem? Sure, maybe. But I don't know where the guy has driven all those 330k miles and neither do you, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and he can complain himself about how the paint is bad from factory, not you, mr paint police.

also, since you brought up the paint comparison with your own truck, you need to post pics, or it's all just hot air. I for one would love to see a clean old ford ranger with good paint. That almost never happens with them, much like the 300k never happens either.

they called it "lifetime" transmission fluid, but they really just mean the transmission will last till 200-300k miles if you don't change the fluid and get a new transmission after that.

If you want your transmission to last 1 million miles, you should definitely drain and fill the fluid every 60k miles. 15k is overkill

Yeah, my 2001 tundra required it with dexron II, drain and 4 qt refill. No issues following the manufactures schedule for nearly 300k miles. My tacoma will likely get the same except with ws atf at 60k miles.
