Those wheel won’t work wo the spacer. That wheel with the +30 is a 6” + bs.

The stock wheel is only 7” wide. The factory bs with a +30 is approx 5” bs. On the Tacomas 5.5” bs is about max you can run.

So my black rhinos are +30, 9.5" wide with 1.5 in spacer making it I guess -1.5" bs. This dang math story problem gives me a headache

    Sport is 17x7.5 +30mm with 5.5" backspace.

    A 9.5 +30mm has a 6.5" backspace.
With a 1.25" spacer it would have a 5.25" backspace.

Op. All things being equal. Both wheels same offset. Your 9.5 is already sitting out 1” (since the sport wheel is 7.5”) further over stock. Then you pushed it out another 1.25” with the spacer.

Get your alignment set a 3-0-0. 3* castor will shove your tire forward .75”-1”

The bulk of your caster comes from the lower cams which is what moves the tire away from the cab mount. UCA just allow adjustment to caster on compression and it’s not a lot.

Need to drop the spacer and your wheel is too wide anyway. But to each their own.

    I had a CMC
    Running 285/70/17
0 offset, still rubbed, had to cut, hammer, and now I rub on special occations :) do have spacers!!
    CMC doesn't mean no rubbing

    Listen to JoeCOVA.

Plus you don't have to do everything you want in one step. Take things slow. I, somewhat like you, did not know what I was doing so I simply changed to 255/85R16 (33" narrow) from the stock tires on the stock OR 16" rims. Used the LCAs to move the assembly forward and had it aligned. Have a bit of rubbing in the front, none in the back at the body mount. Was able to reinstall my factory mud flaps as well, with the chop your mud flaps are gone, if you have them.

I'm considering the exact same tire size. What lift are you running? Do you feel the transmission " gear searching"? How did the ride change?

I'm getting ready to install fox 2.5 coilovers which should give me about a 2" lift. Just trying to figure out the best tire size to avoid rubbing and having to re-gear it.

You should regear even at stock. I regeared and ride is totally enjoyable now

I have no lift, that is what is great about this tire size increase as an interim step. I did put on those adjustable Upper Control Arms whose name I cannot think of at this time. I was told the UCAs were not necessary at my alignment, but I like to start slowly and build from there, since I was fooling around with the front and control arms are so critical, I just thought I would give myself some future options with their addition. There is a very slight rubbing on the front bumper/fender which could be eliminated by another adjustment of the lower control arms and another alignment. I agree with BigGilly444 on regearing, I will be doing the same when I get some armor on the vehicle. Until that time it does not go off road at all, at least until I get some rock sliders installed of my own design. SPC control arms and BFGoodrich KA3 tires.

Ride changed by noise from the KA3 tread and sponginess of the rubber used in these tires - steering mostly effected. I am told that is a "feature" of these tires, the tires won't last a year with my driving and perhaps in that time I will have decided what my next step(s) will be. Transmission searching may have gotten worse, but I am not that particular at this point as I do know I will be regearing.

The offset is the same as stock but the wheel is 1.5” wider than stock so the numbers are totally different.
