MESO X MORIMOTO Full LED Tail lights

Mine hit the porch today. Both in excellent condition. Not installed yet, maybe tomorrow.

Amusing side note, I got two sets (I only ordered one ). Spares, right?

Actually already pinged MESO support to get them back to them.

Even if I were crappy enough to try and keep them, I wouldn't know where to put them. I already have too much crap stacked up in every nook and cranny now

 

Got mine today, although with 3 broken tabs. Look good though.

 

Question for fellow owners...

How much y'all selling your takeoffs for / what's a fair price for a pair of trd or takeoffs?

 

I've seen them go from $100-250 depending on the year. 2016-2017 are the cheapest cause of the chrome, then 2018-2020? are sometimes the most expensive for their blacked out internals. 2021 and above are somewhere in the middle, cause of clear lens but still chrome...

 

Mine arrived yesterday evening...no broken tabs...I'll probably install them after work today.

Finally got mine in yesterday, going to install them this weekend, in addition to a martinOR rack. Can't wait, they've looked great every time I've seen them so far.

However... just like squishy I got two pairs, with the left tab broken on one set, the right tab broken on the other set

 

Because you can never have to many pictures. Just got them installed.

 

Clear lens on Quicksand! Very pleased. Like others, kinda wish the turns were a little brighter, but love the sequential action that matches my OEM LED headlights and Meso reverse sequential mirror turns

 

Finally got mine in from MESO yesterday, and installed as soon as I got home. Double boxed like MESO said he was doing and no broken tabs....install was as smooth as glass.

They are ABSOLUTELY worth the wait, I love them!

Freaking crazy bright reverse lights, and the sequential amber turns/hazards are sweet.

They look so much better than stock...and look a lot like the OG handbuilt taillights MESO did years ago.l, which is what I was after from the beginning. This fit the bill perfectly!

Congrats to MESO and Morimoto for a job done exceedingly well!

 

I wish you would have gotten a set of red's opened, I'd have loved for them to be lighter and less dark cherry colored. I think a silver paint behind the red would help with that.

 

If you have not installed yours yet, use the screw tabs from the OEM tails, they are a bit beefier and have more threads.

 

Good thing I created a support ticket for the broken tab in the passenger side housing, as after installing them both to test out (I was contemplating just keeping the damaged set), there is definitely some sort of leak in the seal occurring in the driver side housing;



The passenger side housing (with the broken tab) is/has stayed dry.

A full replacement set is enroute thanks to the responsive MESO customer service.

 

Got mine today.. Was on pins and needles waiting for UPS to show up.



And installed them right away...



No more chrome... YEA !!!!

The cat gets outside time, I get to stare at my new tail lights! they still look good from half a block away.

 

Got mine installed today...Passenger tail had a broken tab but that's not a huge deal.

Do any of your guy's tails have some small chips on the outside edge? (See first picture)....Not the worst thing just wondering if it's only me?

Overall pretty happy- they look much better than factory...However, I'm not super pumped on the sealing location (see picture 2)

Love Meso and will always buy from them. Just giving my honest opinion. Definitely happy overall.

 

Morimoto did that to me when I bought my XB LED headlights. Must be a morimoto thing LOL. I returned one set because I was worried they'd charge me another $1400
