Is replacing the fan clutch with an electric fan a good idea, where can I get a Universal elictric fan that fits my car, what are the pros and cons of replacing the fan clutch?

I know a few people have replaced then with a permacool 18" fan.

Pros- Less engine drag, pushes through lots of air, can be hooked to a temp switch to activate

cons - if something goes wrong with it, that engine will overheat rather quickly

I thought about doing this on my 2.7l as well....I think its more work than its worth though. I'm such a mod freak because my last car was a toy...I need to cool it down haha.
