    I have a '17 Sport.

I have read your thread but I have noticed that you took the rack off.. About the noise, you can install the rubber trim from Prinsu for that problem. See the site info:

Thats a beautiful truck!! Really love what you’ve done. What type of bed cap do you have?

And Thanks for the link. I tried the noise reducing trim but it still was too noisy for my preference with all the highway driving I do, so I sold the Prinsu a while ago.

Nice, I love the look. I’ll check out the build thread too! Always cool to see a similar looking truck with some good mods

Another small but very satisfying change while I wait for the bigger mods I have planned over the next few months; blacked out steering wheel emblem. One of the few cosmetic things I’ll do.

Ordered from eBay, if anyone is looking for one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/224467696678

I got little story about the overlay for steering wheel... About 3 years ago, I got it delivered and I went to the park in my town about 2 mins from my neighborhood.

I cleaned it out and put the overlay on it and I tried to press it good but it blew the horn which it got everyone attention at the park.. They were paused and confused for a moment then moved on.

    Heheh.

    BTW, It looks good.

Haha I did the same thing in my driveway with the horn!

    Thanks!

Has anyone else had this issue?

I used Armor All cleaning wipes to clean the inside of the truck and this residue/discoloration just appeared. It’s only on this part of the door and it’s on the driver and passenger side. It appears to be permanent; I can’t get it off with any amount of soap/water.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, I’ve used armor all on every vehicle I’ve owned and never had this issue before.

That is weird.. I haven't seen like this before.

Try alcohol... such as rubbing alcohol.. something like that. Hope this one works. I am not detailing expert but I have heard many people use alcohol to clean inside of their cars.

If not working, then you can find the replacement parts at junkyards so you can replace them or get new parts at Toyota parts dept/online.

I didn’t even think about rubbing alcohol, I’ll try that today! Thanks

I’ll let you know if it works.

@TAZMINATOR I just tried the rubbing alcohol and unfortunately that didn’t work either. It looks like white residue from the armor all wipes but I’m starting to wonder if the armor all actually removed the black paint from the plastic.

Oh well! Looks like the only fix will be to replace the plastic part or paint over it.

Sorry to hear that. Next time, don't use wipes.. Use spray instead.

I’ve been waiting for this mod for months and the day has finally arrived. Diode Dynamic SS3 Sport Fogs.

I think these are the biggest functional improvement over OEM of any mod I’ve done. Absolutely unbelievable light output and these are just the sports.

Install took about 1.5 hours from opening the box to driving down the road fully functioning. I did the driver’s side first and then compared the height of the beam to the OEM passenger side in order to get them set at the correct height.

The first light took me about 45 minutes, second one took me like 20 minutes since I had already done it once. The rest of the time was just getting together the lights and pulling off/putting back on the fender liners.

One thing I noticed that I did not come across in any of the YouTube videos I watched or posts I read…everyone says you need a 10mm socket. You do not, I used a Phillips head screw driver because I couldn’t find my 10mm socket.

Overall one of the easier mods I’ve done; hands down the most game changing. I can’t put into words how bright these things are compared to the OEM fogs.

Nice. I was looking at some 2nd Gens when I was Tacoma shopping. I wanted to buy used but it made more sense to just get a new truck with how expensive all the used ones were.

Yup, I saw those trucks on sales lot all over places. Kinda expensive for old gens. I got 2007 for free but I traded it for '17. I wish I kept 2007 as daily driver.. oh well.. Maybe one day I get other truck.. it could be 2nd gen or new one.
