Did they mention how large of a tire will fit in the wheel well of the bed replacement?

They did not. I think 295's will be fine but 35s may rub without proper bumpstops

thank you so much for the update!

On another note, anyone got any ideas on what size solar panels and brackets would fit on the rails of the smart cap? Been itching for a solar lithium combo. Most panels I’ve been searching for are either to big for the rails or to small

Got the Sherpa rack installed on the Smartcap today. I custom cut and milled the crossbars to allow room for the gull wing doors to open. There is about an 1 1/2 height difference with the Sherpa cab rack. Just a friendly reminder that the tracks on the cap are not square. They are about an 1 1/2 further apart towards the cab.

Just ordered mine today, and I'm wondering if any of you (or anyone else) can speak about how long the wait might be. Planning a trip in July that I'd love to have it for.

I was the one who ordered end of November from Offroad Alliance and I just reached out a couple weeks ago for an update, they said they weren't sure but maybe April or May...so who knows!

My experience was a year ago at this point, but at least back then it was ~6.5 months from order to installation.

Unless they ramp up production and shipment, I'm not sure ordering one now would result in having one by July. I was planning a road trip for July but with gas prices and the lag time between order and delivery, I'll just do it another time. (I ordered end of December).

Whos the go to retailer for Smart Caps. Im was gonna pull the trigger tonight. I thought the Off-road Alliance did free shipping. Turns out they don't. Is the ORA the best retailer or is there another one I should order from?

I ordered from Off Road Alliance in November 2021. I could swear I was told expected delivery end of February to beginning of March. On March 10th I inquired with customer service and was told by the end of the month. It’s not here and I haven’t received an email update. I’m not complaining and it’s probably out of their hands with shipping delays and everything else that is going on in the world. It’s paid for and I’ll get it when it gets here. I’m excited to get it though.

Could be wrong, but my cap was right around $3,500 if memory serves. Only complaint I've got to date is I wish it came in aluminum for a weight savings.

Wow, I'd imagined a much more substantial weight savings than that.

if the alucab was shaped like the RSI I would have bought one a long time ago. I finally want a canopy as it makes sense with our current hobbies. I finally saw an Alucab in person yesterday and it looks better on the truck than it does in pictures but I wish it at least had the front window angled forward to match the contour of the cab.

After the last road trip I went on, I can't imagine not having a cap now. Great investment/mod.

I've found it to be tricky to fit 2 ramps and 5-6 RC's in the bed with the tonneau cover closed.

I was so happy to ditch the tonneau
