I'm thinking about going up on Thursday night and watching the race on Friday. I've never been out there and I have no idea where to camp.

    Anyone else going?

    I plan on going...

there is about 189,000 acres to choose from to camp out lol

i figure, find the action then camp far enough away for privacy but close enough to the action to not be isolated...

From what I've seen, Sledgehammer appears to be the place to watch most of the action. I know there are several good spots out there.

I think I'm definitely going to go but I can't leave till Thursday night. We should figure out who's going on what day/time and see if we can set up a caravan. I've never been out there.

I'll be leaving Fontana around 8pm Thursday night.

Just a forewarning, went to check out Sledge last weekend and they aren't allowing spectators like years past on the best parts of that run. Pretty disappointing, but I understand the liability factor and why they are doing it.

I should be out there friday after work and staying for most of sunday. if anyones see's me out there, feel free to flag me down

WTF? isnt it open desert? whats the point of doing it if nobody can watch...

who exactly is saying that nobody can go to certain areas? anyone with any authority? or just assclowns that like to "feel the power" and tell you to go away...

Last year they had at least 3 people sent to the hospital because of all the falling rocks at sledge.
