I'm in Manassas. So trying to plan and execute a day ride to there is some doing. Not un-possible, but it's not a quick load up and drive to have a few hours of fun and head home. As with all my decision, I won't make a final one until sometime after I sign the paperwork.

The seat height is good for me. And this place is cheaper than the joint I posted. There's supposedly dealer local to me. I wonder if I could get him to price match.

I have to do some more research. I think I looked at the brand previously and found a site that had hop-up parts for them. Wouldn't mind a headlight and maybe a taillight. I don't want JT running into me.

I think @crashdb should get the crf250f (fuel injected) that’s making 39hps. Just get the expensive one now and sell it for $500 off MSRP in 30 years when it doesn’t die and you need the space.

    What's MSRP? I'll guess $11k....

Timbrook wanted me to buy a lightly used one for 6kish OTD - I got my bike for $5800 used and it’s a beast. They retain their value if you do the bare minimum maintenance.

What part? Buy the bike now for 6k. In 30 years sell it for $5500 (not considering inflation) and bam… 30 years of riding for the low low price of $500.

    You're saying $5800 used. Mark/Honda saying $4800 brand new.

After much consideration I have decided the Honda Monkey is the dirt bike for me.

I'm guessing it's another grand by the time you add destination fee, dealer fee, etc.

Haha. I bet it is. I got the email a couple days ago from the forest service saying that.

Hope all is well with you all.

Hey Bill. All are fine thanks. Trying to kick a cold that I got last Friday fishing in WV....was windy and snowing like a blizzard over there.

Yeah, we could smell it burning Monday and I'm about 25 miles or so east. Looked like a thick fog had settled in town

Tiffany’s bike (2022 CRF125FB) is MSRP $3649. OTD at Timbrooke was $4700. I’m assuming you can pick up a new/lightly used CRF250F for ~6k OTD.
    9B2F9F5B-B4D3-4A55-8297-EF363297509F.jpg

I bought crf250rx for 5.8k (but it was raced for 2 season). The RX or F designation make a pretty significant difference in almost all categories except for, surprisingly, straight up HP.

Here's what I think I'm a do to start down this hare scramble path. Local dealer here carries the Kayo off-brand. They have a couple of the 250s on the floor. I'll mosey over there and take a look. The Kayo appears to be a decent halving bike. Not too much overseas, not too much big four. And the price is nice. If I just can't, they are a real dealer and have other makes there. I believe they have a Kawasaki something or other. Then we'll go from there

@03dumdum how was the race? I want the details! How long was it? Was it technical type riding or some flowing single track?
