How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

That’s a good idea to watch dealers websites for permanent VINS to show up. I don’t know of any but maybe you could be our eyes and ears and report what you see!
Glad you have a week earlier build date, that gives me hope that maybe mine will be sooner.

 

Got the call from my salesmen today. My 22 TRD DCSB Sport A/T was delivered today and I'll pick it up tomorrow.
I put a deposit down on Jan 26.
Build date was February 22nd according to the salesmen, but I tend to believe it was later than that.

It arrived in Newark NJ last Friday and trucked to Freehold NJ today.
One hell of a long wait. At least from my perspective, but others here probably won't feel that way, and I don't blame them. Seeing people waiting 6-8 months is insane.
I'll post a few pictures when I get to the dealer and then home. It's been raining here in NJ and it doesn't seem to be stopping for the next few days.
While I'm waiting for the truck to be prepped, I'll ask if I can sit in the 22 Supra that they have in the showroom. I think they are asking $62K for it.

yes it's a new world we live in... the days of a pushy trickster car salesman essentially trying to fool someone into buying a car are long gone and now it's tricky conniving purchasers trying to trick a dealer into handing one over.

 

Got a follow up text from the sales guy...said ETA is still 5/23...so we'll see if it holds true.

 

Got sooooooooo lucky today, had a reservation on a White DBLCB TRD OR but was really hoping for Army Green. Got a call that my dealer got an allocation for a AG TRD OR with the MT and I got to move my reservation over since no one was interested in the manual. Furthermore, it was built today and has an eta of May 6-11, so much sooner than my previous reservation, super stoked!

I was driving home to Ohio from Joliet, IL toady. On I80 near I65 I saw a car hauler with two Tundras and about five Tacomas, one was a Lunar Rock Off Road and I saw a Magnetic Gray also. Not sure where they were headed but someone should have a delivery soon.

Trucks seem to be flowing in faster now, the tacoma doesn’t use many electronic sensors as a lot of the newer cars/trucks. Production should pick up rapidly the next couple of months. By the end of the year I’d expect to be @ under MSRP on Tacomas.

 

Has anyone had the app just stop working after ground delivery? Like I can't log in through the app anymore at all. Just goes to a blank site. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, to no avail. Last update I saw it looked like they were test driving it, 5 new miles on the odo.

Other companies have trucks ready for delivery… there’s no reason the number 1 mid size shouldn’t be able to fill demand over the next few months. It’s a tacoma, not exactly a rare vehicle

My ETA from the dealer is 5/1 (finger's crossed). For those who have received their trucks, how many miles are on the vehicle when you took delivery? I see folks post 2-4 miles shown on VSPEC and was just curious what to expect when I take delivery.
