I would say 1200 to 1500, depending on buyer and market

Yeah, that's the figure that keeps popping up in my mind as well. Thanks for the input.

FWIW, I have given this some real thought and I will be looking for around $1500-1800 for my 2-3 year old 4.7 Marlin case when I move to the NWF box.

I think the TG and 2.8 is slightly less desirable, but you've got the marlin gears that everyone wants, so 1000-1500 is fair range.

If it was just the crawl box I can see $1K beeing fair. This is box bolted up to a chain drive case with all shifter work done and included. All the heavy lifting is done. All someone has to do is cut the hole for the new stick locations and slam it home. Plus, the market is so nuts right now higher prices don't seem to make many people blink. lol

    $900 TG adapters
    $200 21s rf1a (additional $200 for MC 23s input) or $300 for turbo 23s rf1a
    $200 VF case

If it was me, I would be happy to let it go for $1200

Yep, I totally agree. I'd put yours more in the 1200+ range if you're including the goodies.

Specifically, a 97 4Runner just can't keep up with what I wheel in it. I cracked the coil bucket so I filed an insurance claim for suspension damage. They have decided to total the vehicle. I'll take that cash and sell a bunch of stuff off the 4Runner and use it to go bigger and better. Or at least less likely to break. lol

    The goods.

Easy Solution..... take the cash, buy the runner back and do a solid axle

Mine didn't break and I chose to cut it off

I'm buying it back for sure. The salvage value was less then $800. Stuff I'll sell off it:

RCV's, crawl box, front and rear bumpers, winch, front and rear Nitro 5.29 and ARB diffs, King shocks, skids, UCA's. That total will be a fair bit more then the $800.

It might get SAS'd. There's a lot of compromises to do that on this platform but there's a ton of guys that have already put in the legwork to make it work. I'd love to build a tube buggy but that rabbit hole requires a tow pig and trailer. lol

There's nothing wrong with having a rf1a crawlbox. I had a dual case DC 3.4 SC with D44 on 37 for many years and nothing broke.

Currently building a 3 link front and rear on 40s with triple case. Had the triple case on for about 6 years now on 35 and nothing blew except for the front wheel bearing, lol.

Many folks said the rf1a will not stand up to the tacoma weight and 3.4 punishment but the guys I know and myself included don't have any issue with it.

The drive train and motor are fine for low speed crawling. I've beaten the shit out of mine for years with no issues. lol

Why start parting it out? Remove all the ifs parts to resell, buy a FF80 for the rear and RS/Diamond front housing with leaf and call it good. :D:D

Spider 9's would be the dream but that's 20K in axles, diffs, and housings. Used from an F250 is probably gonna be reality. lol

Why not built a dream runner? Why sacrifice? You'll get a pretty penny for what the 4r is worth nowadays. Wouldn't surprise me if your insurance offer your a check for $15-20k when they selling for $5k 3 years ago. Hell, beat up runner in my area are listed for well over $10k. Beat, looking like sh1t early xtracab tacoma and custom color fade with 275k on the obo are listed for $15k.

It's called seller GREED and buyers are DUMB to fork that much for a vehicle that is honestly worth quarter of what they paid. It's a supply and demand thing. If I don't buy it now, someone will buy it. I don't understand it as well.

Maybe when I get done with my build, I'll list it for $100k :D Someone must be smart enough to offer me $90k for it o_O. I just need to choose my wording correctly such as: custom built, one of a kind, only one in the world, head tuner, chick digger, no rust because it's in California

    Someone will :spending:

    :fingerscrossed: LOL
