    Also, a few things..

Lets all try to have 3/4 tank of fuel when we arrive at Wyalusing. We will have opportunities to top off along the trail, but just want to avoid having to refuel right away.

We should all have water/something to drink and snacks for the trail on Saturday. We'll probably stop at a gas station as usual, but that's usually a few hours into the trails.

We have a room reserved at Potosi Brewery for a 4-5pm arrival. Hopefully this gives us plenty of time for cruising/breaks/brotography.

Recovery gear shouldn't be needed unless something goes wrong, but we might as well bring what we have. If you don't have any, I wouldn't worry about running out to buy some, unless you're looking for an excuse. ;)

We'll need to get some firewood at some point, so some cash is good to have. Last year it was available at the campgrounds. We cannot transport firewood from other areas due to Emerald Ash Borers.

Anything I missed, or questions, post it up!

Let's have a good time this weekend!

For Friday dinner do you guys usually have just one fire and everyone uses it to cook? Or is it better to have your own to cook over? I think I'm bringing a steak for Friday!

And times for Saturday work fine, probably will be up early anyways.

Great reminder on the fuel aspect, this should be expected for all trips in my opinion.

    Otherwise, looks good to me!

Kinda depends on what you're planning to cook. Personally, if it's a brief trip, I keep it easy and do rehydrated meals and/or things that don't require heat. Also a bit weather-dependent.

We've usually had one "main" fire to cook from; less wood to purchase and easier to bs with each other. But, if you want privacy, feel free to have your own.

We have shared the fire pit for cooking on other trips. I'm torn between grilling a steak or just having a freeze-dried meal Friday

There's a decision that has to be made between steak and a bag of previously hydrated food? Lol

    Tough call!

btw, it looks like it won’t be very dusty so Dave is likely going to show up with his Blue Jeep.

I grilled out the last 2 weekends. I don't cook freeze dried meals at home... usually. And, I actually really like some of them. But, mostly I just like the convenience. Minimal prep and cleanup. So, really it's mostly about laziness.

For firewood I have had good luck with the brand they sell at the Menards around my area. (Northern IL) It’s stored inside, $5 a bundle, and has the current Wisconsin state park certification number as ok to transport around the state. I’ve brought it into WI state parks before and they just ask to prove it and they have all of the info on the Wisconsin state parks website. Just an idea.

Contrary to James, I'll specifically recommend taking the top down.

Well guys, looks like I will not be making this trip. Life happens and there isn't anything you can do about it. :annoyed:Y'all have a good time and looking forward to some great photos. Also, I'll be cancelling my site, #148, if anyone is looking a spot.

So due to interesting timing, I'll be delivering to the Potosi Brewing Museum when we get there on Saturday, a box of new coffee table books that my company printed, about the 100+ year history of Madison's Fauerbach Brewery, which closed in the late 60s. If anyone is interested and would like to buy an autographed copy, let me know and I'll have him sign whatever is needed and bring those along. I think he's asking $40 each.

Sorry we can't make this one, guys. My S/O is looking for a camping trip as soon as weather is a bit better.

I'm waiting on wheels for my brand new tires. My duratracs are too far gone that driving on wet pavement is sketchy at best.

Looking forward to a summer trip!
