what basket is that on your stock roof rack?

 

Just 3/16'' plate, basically to keep the bottom of the housing from denting when smacking it on things and it also created a "smooth" bottom so the diff drain plug isn't the lowest hanging thing.

 

I haven't had good luck at all with powder coat, no matter what company the parts came from. I'm taking my front bumper and sliders over to my friend who has a body shop, he wants to do an epoxy primer and top coat with raptor liner. Should hold up better than powder coat! My dual swing rear, need to figure that one out... Started rusting day 2. But I do live in Vermont.

This has been my luck with getting parts for this truck too. I've sent back about 35% of the parts I've purchased so far. It is extremely irritating. Unless its the most balls out expensive option for any said product I've not been even close to happy.

 

How did you keep it in tact? Did you buy bumper caps instead of cutting?

What did you pay for this setup? If you don't mind me asking.

 

I have those. They are good for the price. (Cheapest I could find) But the finish/coating isn't all that great. If you do decide to purchase these you may want to shoot them with a coat of paint before you install them.

 

yeah. I got them from runnin4tacos. thought it was a good idea. There is more of a gap with this bumper because it wasn't fitted for it but I have a few ideas of a work around. I figured it was worth if if i need to throw on my oem bumper or sell it if I had to.

 

It is pretty straight forward but I have an injured neck so it was pretty rough the next morning. The metal cable ties was the worst

 

from eBay, shipping took two weeks from China. Sold them to another member a few weeks ago

I feel your pain, for sure. But if it was me, I would spring for the $1,050 and make it new again. Who ever did this is a major league jerk.

For what it is worth, I was curious so I watched this video. You probably did all of these steps but might be worth confirming.

There is a cop in the town I work for that has a vinyl shop so I had him tint the windows while I'm working. I love how it came out

 

Do you have pictures of the sliders? Or are you referring to the Toyota aluminum running boards?
