No kidding. When the police finally came this morning, they said they had several other similar calls in the area last night.

Well, time to start throwing parts at it. Can't figure it out, so I ordered a new resistor/repair pigtail, new connector and pinned wires to replace the Blower plug and cooked wiring from McGeorge, it all shipped this morning...starting there. If that doesn't fix it, the only other thing I can think of is I have an issue with the switch itself. They are about $150 from wrecked trucks on Ebay.

I really wish I could just afford a 2020/2021 Tundra...

Was it doing anything out of the ordinary leading up to the failure? Like noise or anything?

From staring at this for 10 minutes, assuming the resistor is good, the only thing I can think of is the ground to the AC control is bad or whatever 1A4 is on the line going into the blower motor is faulty.

    I think 1A4 is just a junction...not a fuse or a different component.

Nothing out of the norm prior to failure. Worked when I shut the truck off. Next day wife took it and it wasn't working.

Here is Jimmy's explanation of what IA4 is.

Check for 12 VDC at the blower motor connector with the truck ignition turned on. You should have 12 VDC on the Black wire with a Yellow Stripe regardless of if the blower is turned on or not.

If you don't have 12 VDC at the motor plug as I stated then the issue is before the motor. If you have 12 VDC at the motor plug then the issue is at the motor or on the downstream side of the circuit to ground.

Voltage at the blower motor is inconsistent. At times I get 12+ volts when i check it, and at other times I check I get 7 or 9 volts....short of tracing the wire back through the dash to check for issues, I don't know what else to do.

50 Amp Heater Fuse >> Heater Relay Contacts >>IA4 Connector >> Blower Motor Connector.

Seems pretty cut and dried to me. Not saying it won't be a pain, but it is simply a series circuit all the way to the blower. From what your saying: Somewhere along the way you have a high resistance connection or a damaged wire.

Update, I stripped a small section of the B/Y a few inches from the blower motor plug and tested voltage there. I have 12v...with it unplugged from the motor. Once I plug it back in to the motor, I lose voltage...drops to 7 or 9 volts...even once I unplug it again.

So it is safe to assume it is the plug itself or on the ground side (resistor, or fan control switch itself).

Any idea how to troubleshoot the fan switch?

Going to Potts tomorrow just for a day trip. A whole lot of driving but it’s been too long since I’ve gone wheeling.
