Isaiah, the friend that helped me with suspension install and came the first time to the farm, has one of the ktm 300xc bikes. They're cool because they're 2 strokes, but have fuel and oil injection to get some of the benefits of 4 stroke too.

I rode it once and it has got a lot of beans lol

we've been wanting to try to do one of those hare scramble or single track races, but the timing just hasn't worked out

I watched this vid last night. The guy is working on his form but shows the track of the last race (VCHSS, April fools run). Think he was in the main, although not sure as there look to be 4 events.

I really enjoy a good running 2stroke, and have never ridden one of the new injected ones. A smaller expansion pipe would give it more low end and probably the ability to idle up a hill. It’s a really cool bike!

Yup! But I have a thing with trees (close quarters) and speed.. we don’t play nice together and the hard wood always wins. Haha if I did a straight dirt bike, I’d try a Hare Scramble. Looking at the site they have a Trail blazer class, if I’m correct. You run the same track but not timed because you wann get you feet wet. Or just jump right in.

The guy in the video was clipping his bars on some trees, I was surprised how tight some of the tree sections were! I like the trailblazer idea, I can’t get hurt anymore and have a tendency to eat dirt.

    Right there with yea.

I was tooling around the web site last night and came across a pic of a contractor for us that is older than me. Possibly late 50’s early 60’s. The next time I see him, will bring it up and ask questions.

I thought it was pretty technical but all the guys said it was one of the more “flowy” courses. It was like 7 miles with a majority in the tree line, quite a few full handle bar lock sections to get in between trees, a few downed tree obstacles and small jumps.
Dude! This guy was in the morning event 2 classes behind me. He passes me on a hill climb (27:35) then I pass him in a small pile up after he gets his bike back up(28:50) all on lap 3 haha.

The trailrider group runs at the back of the morning class. I almost did that one… here is my thought process though. You’re there, paying the same money, on the same course at the same time for the morning event. The further back you start the less you’re getting to ride. If you wanna let people pass you then go slow. Fast riders will blast past you no problem, you get 15ft off the marked path to pass people/obstacles/FastRider180AfterSmackinHandelbarsOnaTree.

Hell yeah, him and his wife are an awesome couple. He was 2nd for 30+ C. They were the camper behind us in the pictures, camped with them, the dude who sold me the bike and the main ref., pretty fun night.

I have to admit... This has been the best things I've watched in the last 24 hrs.
