It's so different here though. BLM is one thing, campgrounds are another.

 

I'd be interested in possibly some cookware/burners and if you have, a hammock (portable type).

I have one but they long discontinued the straps. I can make some but prefer the originals. My straps stayed at the last house.



I'd like another Front Runner pack too but like you said, might just cost too much to ship.

 

There's no bike stuff in the unit

 

I have a different level of appreciate for developed campgrounds now that I've camped with a toddler.

Definitely not my favorite version of "camping" if you can really call it that, but it's nice to have amenities with a small child haha

 

I know I don't have a hammock, they always looked comfy though. But I do have some small cookers, like an MSR pocketrocket, and I do have a brand new JetBoil I hadn't gotten around to trying. A small packable firepit. Randomness. Haven't been through it in a bit

 

I got 2 of those MSR's; one as a back-up and one as my main for backpacking...They're great!

Definitely interested in that firepit though.

 

Yeah when you're solo its a nightmare haha. I don't wanna see other people when I camp, let alone listen to their garbage music and drunk yelling. Family park/camp when you have a kid is a whole different thing I agree.

 

I'll message you some shots of stuff. That little firepit packs flat, its great. I had two, one is new.

 

I've always wanted one but never got one.

Those are perfect for along the coast out here where you can get a chilly breeze and don't want to build a firepit out of the few rocks available.

 

Yeah they're great when you don't need a big fire, but want something to sit by. Also some places here you can't have a fire on the ground but you can use one of those, which is weird, but hey

 

yeah but that noise aspect is even worse with a small kid when they're trying to sleep and can't, then end up being all fussy/cranky all night and day.

Next time we're going to look for a more remote campground not in an area that's so popular, to avoid all the glampers that party all night long

 

A lot of the campgrounds around here, even some that used to be somewhat primitive, just a spot to park and maybe a picnic bench on your site, have pivoted to a full family campground, with pools and everything. Some even have water slides haha

 

Yeah the one we went to last time even had a general store on site. Not really camping at all at that point but it was a beach campground and more just for that '"camp" near the beach' experience. Not really an actual camping one

Yeah I get that, especially if you're at the ocean. They're going to make a lot more money that way, so I can't really blame them.
