Can Windoors be added later?

test fit went well. no more gaps. i have a bit more work to do with marine tex to snug things up a but i should be able to sand by the end of the week and paint on the weekend.

 

got a coat of primer on it. Have to wait to get some paint and clear coat. Also probably gonna butyl tape where the weather seal meets the canopy just to ensure a watertight seal. pretty happy with results thus far!

 

installed! a few kinks to work out but overall i am pretty happy. wasn't fun bolting it back in but i got it with some encouragement and a few longer screws.
I have a few tweaks to make and currently when I open it the whole window slides in the track towards the front of the vehicle and i have to push it back towards the rear to close it.

 

Holy crap you did a great job. Curious to see how this holds up. I've contacted all of my local vendors as most of everyone in this thread has to no success. This pretty much answers all my questions. Now to find a vendor that'll order me the window regardless if it "fits" or not

 

I agree knockhanh. You did a great job! I have an old Raider Vagabond from the 1990s that i am pretty sure will not have any windoor that will fit, but you've laid out a great template to follow in this thread. Very helpful!

 

Well, my new (vented) windoors are in, install is scheduled for Monday. Fingers crossed they are direct replacement for the standard windoors...

 

At least for the 3rd gen with a LEER 100R, the half-sliders (dealer cross referenced with the window supplier, LEER said no)or standard windoors can be swapped for vented windoors (what I had originally ordered):

 

That looks amazing. If you want to sell your old windows if they are 50/50 split I may be interested.

If anyone is interested in vented windows, I am looking for some 50/50 split windows for my cap so the dogs get more air. I have a Leer 100XL it’s about a year old if that helps.

For anybody else wondering about this. I just got off the phone with my Leer dealer and they told me I can add the windoors to my topper (long bed) for $900 for the pair. I already paid $4200 for the topper so I’m not sure I want to pony up any more

 

FWIW they told me the same thing and it turned out they were wrong.

 

I replaced one of the sliders in my leer 180 with a windoor and it was a direct swap, took about 20 minutes. The windoor was about $250 from my local canopy shop/ leer dealer.

 

So it’s possible to swap the sliding windows for windoors on the 100r? I’m looking at one for $800 owner says it’s practically new

Thought I'd throw this in here. I have one windoor I could part ways with. Came off my old cap thar got messed up so salvaged what I could.

Was for a leer xr for short bed double cab.
Driver side windoor. Have everything to swap out.

Don't think it would ship very well. But I'm in Maryland. Howard county. Right off rt 70.

I busted the glass on my drivers side windoor last year, LEER dealer wanted $450 for just the glass. I went with an $80 piece of polycarbonate and cut it myself.
