Hello everyone, I have been lurking these last couple weeks while I searched for a truck... Found a 2008 silver tacoma DC SB TRD sport yesterday and pulled the trigger. I traded in a 2500hd chevy so it is a big change, but I have allways loved the looks and versatility of the tacoma so here I am. i look forward to some great advice while I start modding my tacoma. Its gonna be tough, my duramax was about 500hp! But fuel prices scared the bajeebes out of me.

Welcome! I drove a GMC in high school, but now a Tacoma. Driving in town is going to be a dream compared to your last vehicle. Love Tacos! You might never want a chevy again. I know I don't.

I traded the same truck you had for my Tacoma. I do miss the pulling power sometimes but parking in smaller spaces, fuel prices and maintenance costs make up for that a few times over. Hope you are just as happy with your trade as I am.

I'm another who did that. I had an 09 Ltz 4x4. It was very, very hard to do but I did and don't regret it. Other than the pulling power. I could have used it today. Welcome. Were you on the duramax forum?
