My slow march towards making a Lexus Tacoma continues.

Front diff plug replacement. I wanted to knock this out before the stock 10mm hex key plugs decided that they no longer wanted to cooperate.

I live in CA, half the people here have no insurance and the other half don't have a license even though the DMV hands them out like candy.

Im glad it was the battle tested truck and not one of the nicer cars or motorcycle.

Got my @JLee BAMF hybrid front bumper and hd shackle hangers a few days ago. Just waiting for a winch and a light-bar before I put it on 1907F282-C3F1-463E-AAAC-7E21713F96EE.jpg39995D02-2B22-4A16-A78F-B8BF0110180A.jpg

Well, power went out so I couldn’t work. Went back out to tackle the flares and got them on. They are very solid, just had to tinker with the install just a bit.

I cannot wait until my C4 fabrication hybrid bumper gets here (12 more long weeks). Wheels will probably go on next week if I don’t get impatient tomorrow. Last things to round out my truck are headlights, grill and some lighting for the bumper.

Sup folks, I just did a Little key upgrade to my babygirl.

    I went from this:

    To this:

    IMG_3022.jpg IMG_3024.jpg
    IMG_3023.jpg

I spent about 60 bucks among blank key, cutting and programing.

Looks really cool for my lol.

    See you all. Take care

Just go online and look for this:

KEYECU 315MHz 4D67 / G Chip GQ43VT20T Upgraded Flip 3 Button Remote Key Fob for Toyota Sienna Highlander Tacoma Sequoia Tundra|Car Key| - AliExpress

You can find it at Amazon also, it would be faster delivery. Just make sure you are ordering the same chip type as your current key has. Your blade should have a letter G or a dot marked on it. You can match also the number in the back of your key fob. it should have the FCC ID. make sure it match whit the one you are ordering. In my case is G Chip GQ43VT20T.

@reallifedog “Is this plug-and-play? I tried an aftermarket fog light switch with an indicator and it didn't work with the switched ground for the factory fog lights”

Yup, that’s the part. Not quite plug & play but very easy. Just followed this post by @TXCotton

Installed sequential mirror lights. The motion is perfectly smooth in person. The GIF makes it a bit choppy.

I tried this and only a couple holes actually line up to holes in the fender. Missed opportunity BushWacker.

Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
That’s how I feel every time I see them work, and know they’re only $40-50 on Amazon. I hold out for one more post though, just cause I have actual maintenance to do first lol.

Installed a CarPlay stereo into my truck today, I got tired of not having Spotify coming through clearly. I was using a FM transmitter before and it was just frustrating and crackly. I got it on Amazon plug and play. I’ll wire the backup camera Saturday if I don’t get lazy. It was 90° today and I didn’t feel like even doing this!
