My bumpers on my Tacoma are starting to rust due too the chrome peeling off. what options do i have on fixing up these bumpers if any?
and/or new bumper options? 96 Tacoma is what working with.

I have been shopping for a new back bumper for my '03, the black ones are roughly $170 "buy it now" on eBay...

Thing they get you on is $65 for shipping!

The bumper itself seems pretty reasonable if you ask me.

The middle part above the tow hitch mount always rusts away on these. Mine's starting to go so I'm looking for a replacement. The price of the ebay special is attractive.

I'm with you. With all my various neglected responsibilities, the very last thing on earth I should spend a Saturday doing is sanding and painting a bumper for a 15-year-old truck when I can get an OEM bumper w/ hardware shipped to my door for less than $300.

Mine is the same so I looked thru the frame rust recalls at a local auto recycler and there was a couple near perfect bumpers, problem solved.

You can get the chrome redipped? Any idea how much that would run?

im honestly not sure on price. you would need to find a place that does chrome refinishing and re-dipping and talk to them. i've seen some places be decently priced and some be high as hell.

It does have both of those features, you just gotta swap the old ones from your stock bumper. I did a write up somewhere around here about my bumper painting and install, it will tell you what to do. You could get the drop down brackets for your stock receiver bar for 99$ or so.

    Heres mine.
