Electrical Question

What would be the name for a plug that has one male and two females for i can connect 2 inputs to charge my jackery? One by when my truck is turned on and one by solar. Thanks!

I would call it a y plug. Not sure on what the connectors jackery used though in particular.

 

I believe the input is 8mm. Might be tough to find a 8mm splitter thats all female, though.

My Jackery 1000 comes with an anderson plug to 2 female y adapter. The diagram on the box says you must use two solar panels simultaneously. I don't think you can use two separate charging sources. You would need to leave the solar panel unplugged till you turned off the vehicle.

 

my goal is to have both connected one off of my 12v while truck is on and the other connector for solar, I just want it to continue charging after i shut off the truck off of solar. idk if this will work or the jackery will brick. I’ll order off Amazon, worth a shot

 

sorry but how you know its a 8mm male and a 8mm female?

 

I’m going by what was posted above. Measure the jack diameter with Micrometer to be sure. Amazon has a really easy return process anyway.
