    Yeah the pros and cons of various sleeping options have been discussed time and time again. Cost, weight, ease of entry (think climbing down an RTT ladder to pee at night), ease of set-up, ground requirements (can't drive tent pegs into rock slabs), blah blah.

    Being able to sleep in the vehicle was one of factors that led me to choose a Tacoma with 6' bed. If I used a ground tent, other more maneuverable vehicles like FJ or 2-door Wrangler/Bronco become options.

    Was the wife’s truck, traded it in on a VW Tiguan back in the fall. Will hopefully have myself into a new truck by the Ardbeg clean-up.

    But seriously, that lake is hella cold in June/July/Aug, I’d expect to see ice chunks still floating in May.
