Super late but I just saw this while skimming through to catch up. If you haven't already found confirmation elsewhere- you can totally run this size with a 4 cyl. I'm currently running 285/70/17s just fine on mine and was initially planning for 275s. If you haven't found it yet, there's a thread called "so you wanna put big tires on your 4 cyl powered truck" or something along those lines. Good info in there!

Here's mine, they're p rated, I have about 53k miles on them and they have lots of tread left. EXTREMELY happy with them. Went with the p rating because of the weight savings over e rated tires.IMG_20190908_195330~2.jpg

Anyone running the 275/70/17 on a 17x8.5 0 offset rim without having rubbing issues?

I don't want 285s, too much of hassle. A friend of mine just put some 285s BFGs on 4runner Pro SEMA wheels and they look great and he had to do a CCM and cut up the fenderwells. Not me, sticking with the 265s but maybe jumping up to a 275 Toyo if the release a C or SL rated tire.

Only one way to find out but I’m pretty sure you’ll rub.

I run those wheels with 275/70/17 k02. Zero rub with mudflaps left on. They are a 7” wide wheel with pretty much the ideal offset to prevent rubbing. If you get any rub at all, it will likely be minimal and something you can ignore.

At the most, he will “touch” the front mudflaps.

Are you on stock suspension? Because I’m pretty sure you aren’t.

Lift doesn’t affect rubbing, unless you never cycle your suspension.

    Thanks.

I am lifted just under 2” lift with factory rake maintained unloaded (about 1” higher in back than front). No driveline vibes and no needle bearing replacement.

I have Bilstein 5100’s and OME 288 springs on the 2nd notch up front (I have a steel stub bumper and winch).

I have an add-a leaf in back added to the factory lead pack. The added leaf is not a brand-name. It was put in by a local spring shop that makes their own in house, so I can’t really say what it is.

Overall I’m happy with it for what I use it for. It’s budget friendly compared to Kings,
Fox, Ikon, etc, but I feel the truck rides really great, so maybe I just don’t know what I’m missing.
