so grateful my ELG M/T is already built and on the way. Im feeling much better about my 5K market adjustment, especially now that inflation has almost completely washed that.

I don’t buy it, as stated previous- wages have not gone up close to estimated inflation numbers. Expect tacomas to be sitting on the lots this time next year as people scramble to budget. 5k market adjustment? Hey if you can afford it be my guest. I’d threaten to cancel if they won’t come down to MSRP.

I noticed that MSRP on my Pro went up $200 (certainly not 12%) from the time of my allocation to delivery 3 months later. Base Price on a Pro went from $48,640 to $48,840; not much, but was glad my dealer honored the price that we discussed initially. He could have easily said the price went up and expected me to pay it since I didn’t have any type of contract at the time.
I would fully expect MSRP for 2023’s to be much higher for the same product that we are taking delivery on this year.
On another note, Polaris recently raised the price of their RZR’s by $3,000. That increase was passed on to anyone who took delivery after a certain date, regardless of when you ordered it.

well, Pro's were also going well over MSRP well before the pandemic or inflation hit so really nothing new. Honestly I just need a truck.

For a straight up trade of your 2021……hell yes! If you decide you don’t like having two lime vehicles, sell one for triple what you paid for it and retire.

    Found 3 dealerships without markups.

I’m #3 on the waitlist at one place and number 1 at the other two dealers. $500 deposit at each one.

if anyone is in Washington state, Vancouver Toyota has a 7545 that hasn’t been reserved. They wouldn’t sell to me since I’m in California.

It doesn't work for me. Just says "The page you are looking for is not found!" I've had that same error trying to check information on other trucks listed on my local dealers website so I don't think it's necessarily a Canada thing.

5k adjustment for a pro was normal prepndemic. You get it back if you ever sell. Expect huge increases next year on all Tacoma trims. The tundra pros are coming out they are 30k over. Even dealer here the owner is taking the first 20 I was told. Maybe selling them to friends and employees and will resell them as used certified for 100k. Also heard the new sequoia pro each dealer is allocated one.

Yeah i was lucky to intercept an incoming truck here in Toronto with a May ETA according my dealer so that is the VIN from the website, thank you for checking !

I placed an order back in January 2022 with a estimate of 3 months. 3 months in no ETA, no VIN, no build date . Canada is a little slower i find compared to the states (not surprised by that)

You’re discussing current market conditions, that’s just not the case in normal market scenarios. We’re not taking anything else into account. Your friend who’s a dealer would be taking on massive risk. Who’s buying 100k tundras? Give me a break

when new inventory gets on track across the board, competition across the manufacturers will increase and become better for the consumer, simple supply and demand. Where are all these buyers coming from? Gas $4+ a gallon across the country. The market will break and when it does look out below. It’s all cyclical. How do you think i bought a GMC Sierra $38k sticker back in 2009 for $25k … high gas and bad market.

Same people buying 80k Fj cruisers and 130k land cruisers. They are in a different league.

Yes, but they aren’t exactly “the market” …. Car / truck sales are a volume game no matter what they’re trying to BS at this point. Can they be leaner than before ? Sure but let’s be realistic - they’re missing out on a ton of sales to other brands because people are buying anything right now that’s in stock. I’m even seeing Mitsubishi’s on the road again lmao

Hey now! I have owned 3 Mitsubishi's :D My wife had a 2000 Montero Sport which we kept for almost 10yrs. I have owned a 2005 EVO 8 MR(never never should have sold that), and a 2010 EVO 10. Never had any problems with them. They just don't have a good enough model line. It's been that way for them forever it seems.

Nothing against Mitsubishi, i actually traded my Evo 10 (2015 with 20kmiles) for $40,000 , was an even trade for the Tacoma.

My mom had a 1991 Mitsubishi VR4 Galant, wish she still had it probably worth 100k if I stuck it on bring a trailer lol. Also remember many people buying trucks also have businesses so it's a business expense and yet you can have it as a toy. Who do you think buys 85k f150's? Who's buying TRX's? People who can run them thru their business and write them off. I know someone who used have several trucks for his landscape business. Beside 5 GMC's he had a ford lightning, honda s2000, several honda motorcycles, and several jet skis all registered under his business. He didn't care what he paid because at the end of the year his accountant would come to him and say "Hey you need to spend $$$ on a new truck or backhoe or something or you'll get killed in taxes".

I stopped in to my dealer today. The sales manager told me they don't get a vin until within a couple days of arrival at the dealership. As far as tracking the truck while (in transit). They get notice when it arrives in Montreal by train, when it is handed over to the shipper, and when it is on the back of the truck on the way to Nova Scotia. He said he will let me know when he receives notice of each of these milestones. My ETA has changed from apr 19-23 ,to apr 18-22 The buyer of my 2020 is getting a little tired of waiting for mine.
