I don't think I ever saw my mother laugh as hard as she did during the scene in this movie where Frank Dreben (Leslie Nielsen) ended up outside of the building and was almost charged with "assault with a concrete dildo".

Remember when cars and trucks had either round headlights or square headlights, and that was about it?

Those square lights must have been quite a revolution! I bet people hated on them just they way they did seatbelts, electric cars and soon self-driving cars! lol

Funny, I look at that now and just imagine all the germs and the icky feeling of that plastic receiver.

Learned to drive in a 1976 Plymouth Duster; I think that was the only car I ever regularly drove with the foot-switch for high-beams. Gotta admit today's stalk-mounted switches are way more convenient and safer.

I don't remember their introduction, but it was like flipping a light switch... Round headlamps were the law until some time in the 70's, when the use of rectangular headlights was finally permitted... The look of cars changed overnight...

You've got to add "Cinnamon Toast" made in the oven to the chart.

Remember when your mum would make homemade fudge?

She stand at the stove stirring the mix for-ev-ver! My mouth just a watering like Pavlov's dog.
She'd then pour out the mix on to a plate of wax paper smeared with butter and...
then more for-ev-ver waiting until it cooled and could be cut into wee squares.
I was about dehydrated by then!
But I savored every single bite! Was the only time I wished I didn't have siblings - cuz I had to share the fudge with them. :)

(Mum made me that fudge for the last time at Christmas 2014. She passed in 2015 at 93.)

We moved from a rural farm to a small city in 1965. There my parents learned they had to have a driver's license. They had never had one.

I remember round headlights getting harder to find at one point.
