Did you make the hole with a corkscrew?

 

the only bit I had that for the plug would not fit with the drill and bit had to go on a weird angle, so it came out rough. I can’t see it sitting down so it didn’t bother me. I had to take the picture on a weird angle to even get the Jack in the picture. The stereo comes with hanging USB’s I added the flush kit.


I’ll be honest I never really looked that close……looks like a pice of plastic slag I could just trim off if I care to……..

Looking to finally install my Fumoto oil drain valve under my RCI skid plate tomorrow. Any advice on the install? Not used to *not* torquing things to specs.

 

After you get it installed just pour a small bit of oil back into the engine so you can test the Fumoto to make sure it's draining normally when you flip the switch and nothing is leaking.

 

The fronts line up, just not the rears. Guessing it was an aesthetic choice due to the spacing of the holes.

 

I was only able to get two holes to line up on my front fenders when I test fitted them.

Hit some trails last weekend and some water got into the Afe air box. Didn't like the idea of a snorkel but had to get one. Problem was how do I adapt the snorkel to the Afe box with the intake being oval. Someone on here cut the oval down and used a 4" to 3" hose adapter but had sealing issues. I opted to use a 3" toilet flange. Cut out the oval entirely and adapted the flange to the air box with plastic adhesive and silicone sealant. Used screws to hold it in place while the adhesive dries.

 

Been wanting to do this! Link to what you bought? How was the install?

 

I linked these several pages back. Install is super easy. Pop out mirrors, unscrew the adjustment mechanism and pop the tabs on the outer “shell”. Then the old light just unscrews and has a simple harness. Replacements are plug n play.

Actually, if you look at Cali Raised (terrible products though) website, you can install these by just popping off the mirror cover then swap the lights. That's how I'll try and do it

 

I did that and broke a couple tabs. My mirrors were already in bad shape, so I don’t care much. They are still plenty secure.

 

Installed some OEM turn signal mirrors on my pre-wired SR5! Also bought some Axial sequential turn signals from extremeterrain. They're pretty neat, especially for only $60. On my truck now and looks killer! I'm bad about posting pics, I'll try to post that and the seat that I had reupholstered that I forgot to post weeks ago.

I slipped a crescent wrench up there and put my hand through the drain hole. There's not much to it, no leaks after 5000 miles.

 

Off topic, but nice head unit! What are you running there?
