You are right. How things have changed. I got my youngest daughter a 2017 Camry LE that the dealer mistakenly listed for $14,999 with 20K miles and still the factory bumper to bumper warranty back in the summer of 2019. She just ran out of the power train warranty at 60K miles last month (and she is in college and puts a lot of miles on it). My older daughter just had to but a 2018 Honda Hybrid Accord with 60K miles on it as her previous car was flooded. She had to pay $27K. Glad I got my 2018 back in 2018!

Ok. I found a 2010 Camry 130k miles clean title for 6800. What do you think? My mechanic is going to check it out tomorrow.

great cars. only thing wrong with those is they burn oil if you didnt change the oil every 5k miles. that is, if it is the 4 cylinder model.

    other then that, great cars.

Not sure about the frote. Not even sure what that is. But the Camry is nice, if it’s the v6.
The 4cylinders are great engine but they eat oil with age, unless they had 5k oil changes. Something to look out for. But a great first car.

Mazda makes some good cars and are fun to drive. I find myself looking at slightly used manual 3 hatchbacks all the time and wondering why I don't buy one.

We had an auto 3 sedan for a few years that was fun although I hated the color, wife wanted that dark plum color with tan interior.

Rental companies also keep Mazda 3s in their fleets and offer them for sale all the time. Not everyone beats on rental cars and they are always subjected to regular maintenance schedules.

There were a couple MTs available, but the fam shot that idea down.

    Definitely great little runners though.

speaking of samurais, the other night on my way home from work I saw what I thought was a hard top samurai. I haven’t seen a samurai in years! As I got closer it was a Suzuki Jimmy and the driver was on the right hand side…. Cool looking little suv

Jimnys are great little off roaders! My kids want one…

    My suggestion for OP:
A Honda Element- slow, but very fun to drive. Great for camping - super functional.
Available in awd and in a stick!

Prob is … owners will not let go of the things!

My suggestion and future plan for my kids will be buckets! I only got hand-me-downs from family and they were clunkers. I use to hate it at the time but looking back it taught me appreciation for all the cars I obtained in the future and also got me familiar with the mechanics of the cars (wrench time). Can't go wrong with Honda & Toyota. Easy to work on and maintain. Just my .02

Must be hard to buy a boat also. I sold both my boats this morning in minutes after listing them on craigslist. I must of received over 13 calls in a matter of 10 minutes...even from out of state wanting to pay more, but told them i already had enough buyers coming. Is the demand for used stuff that bad?

    YES!!!!!
the honda element is an awsome car for a youngster.
Heck, i would love one now in my 30s. Good engine/tranny. 4WD. And you can do whatever you want with the interior. Sleep in it, fold it down to haul stuff, put a mattress.
But like you said, there are very few for sale and people do want a good ammount for them.
