3 tab or 4 tab light bar?

lookin to buy a defiant light bar. ive got 2 KC slimlights right now but cant decide if i wanna get a 3 tab or 4 tab light bar. if i got a 4 tab i would buy 2 kc 800 series lights. 3 tab i will just buy another kc slimlight. what you guys think?

true. im a broke college student tho haha to pay for this lightbar and new lights is coming from awhile of saving

 

i would do only 3, 4 might look a little.....stuffed.. on the light bar

 

dont have the required tools/knowledge to do that. but i might talk to my buddy cus hes a welder

 

I've never seen a light bar for our style of front ends, 1998-2000. Do you have any pics of what your looking at?

that looks hella good. just not sure if i should go with 2 kc 6inch slimlights and 2 800 8nch lights or just 4 6's

 

might look cool if the 2 middle one's are a bit bigger...

 

ya it would be two 8 inch lights in the middle. but the 2 8 inch lights cost more than the light bar will cost me

 

ya i gotta talk to him. im just not sure how they mount to the frame.

 

easily, I'm only $50 into my entire front bumper! that's including welding rods, grindings discs etc..

 

damn now you all got me thinking haha i was set to drop the cash on that one but if i can save money then why not

 

haha yup! as long as you can get your buddy to help, or lend you his welder, you won't need much.

also, I just go to the local fab shops, and ask to sift through their scraps and see what I can find, I built that light bar in the pic for $10.

 

nice ill have to check it out. the hardest part with be tryin to figure out how to connect it to the frame

 

hmm, I'd figure it out for ya, but it's a bit different on my 01 I'd imagine, as the valence is different.

pop the bumper off and work something up, I'd say mount to the front of the frame, and have the bars coming up through the valence.

 

ya they are different otherwise i would have bought the ones that snoboard makes. ya i was thinkin the same thing, frame through the valence. seems to be how most of them are made anyways
