I’m going to leave it because with what I have been told the truck(?) isn’t much.
And I have had a carb rebushed and it was a PITA.
took me forever to find someone to do it and wasted time then, the friggin shaft screws to remove and reinstall and align the blades and not strip the shaft threads.
Plus,,,,, with dual carbs, a little extra air could possibly help to make the mixture screws more adjustable. If you Remember some of the newer carbs have bleed holes in the plates to help with that.
On both carbs when I checked the adj. one screw was 2.5 turns out and one was 1/4.
So I don’t really want to lose the extra air.
Now that being said a machinist , like Shane or you, would have a field day playing with it. And then
poss. it would be worth the effort.
Like I said before I would have gone new. I even had to work the acc. pump bore with crocus cloth
To smooth it out.
It’s getting personal now…

 

So much for all the outside projects I had planned today. This ‘shower’ has been going for an hour now. Pops brought some stuff up that needed welding so looks like i’ll be doing that and cleaning the garage instead.

Mike, I'd appreciate your take on what "Retired" really means... I learned in school that the prefix "re" means "again" so for me "retired" means "Tired again and again and..." I was told, "You need to learn to Just Say 'No'." Trying to relax but Barcelona Red has a CNC bracket coming to relocate the trailer wiring connector from below the rear frame crossmember to a more protected position in front of it, and a set of bed stiffeners. I'm thinking about relaxing and waiting for the NH Oil Undercoating protection treatment to age a bit longer before I wind up having to wipe it off everything I'm touched with. Time to relax and listen to a ball game on the radio...

 

Done with work for the day, time to head home and fight to bust these rusty nuts off the Tacoma.

 

Brought the tractor down and helped pops drag a Scout front end out from behind the barn so he can pull the engine, got the woodstove dismantled and out of the garage, cleaned up, and spent an hour or two welding those two hand trucks for dad and brought them back down. Zen restored. Taking a java break and heading back out to the garage to start taking that chicken door down to 120 for stain and poly.

What shitfuckery are yall getting into today?

 

Well, I'm about to start sanding some certain parts. Haven't touched the Tacoma yet since I've got a buddy coming over tomorrow who wants to help.

Bailing everybody else out like I use to before quit my job.

I was going to do something in the garage again but it’s cold and pouring and now a t/storm is rolling through.

I decided to add a different element to my fishing this year and pulled another rod out of storage and set up a Carolina Rig to go along with the Texas Rig.
Another way to cover lots of area…



So now I have 6 rods on the deck to start the day.

 

I gotta go out fishing with you... wouldn't know which rod to grab first!

I have a couple. But I'm admittedly a spin caster, never been able to get a bait caster to work for me. I typically stick to Rapala's, very simple and they tend to work for me. I mostly go for small mouth up towards the Jackman region when I have been fishing in the last couple years.

@BananaMan There is nothing wrong with spin cast. I still use them every time out for special situations.
