Tell me about it. I fully expected most people to tell me that's hideous and I'm nuts, but the overwhelming majority are saying do it, and providing all sorts of pictures of it already existing in some form or fashion, which is only making me want to do it more, even though my wife will despise it.

I'm pretty sure if you brought up jumping off a building the overwhelming majority in here would not only say to do it, but make sure to get it on film as well

I think you should go for it, there is a lot of red trim pieces for the interior too add some of that . I had a 90's Bronco with an ALL red interior, I kinda liked it after awhile

This thread has been a lot of fun for me. Whether people think it's cool or not, none of it has been malicious, so it's all good. I guess I have to get the damn truck first before I can figure out if I'm doing this or not.

My dad had a bitchin' '64 Thunderbird, black with red interior. I think he was a pimp though.

My mgm has a dirty red / darker red that I wish had matching inlays on the seats. But I'm not a fan of the bright reds. Go for it. It's yours make how you want.

Pure red is a little too bright for me, Oxblood wouldn’t be bad though.

I think vehicle interiors are a little boring now compared with how they were in the 60s to early 90s. They limit the choices to appeal to more people and save cost.
I like the idea of the red but not the bright red. I think that's too much unless you do only a portion. Darker reds look good to me with the right exterior colors. My one uncle used to have an old silver Buick with an ox blood red interior. This was normal for those times still think it looked fine.
Do whatever makes you happy. They are only covers that can come off later if you sell it and the next buyer hates it.

I always wished my ‘86 Celebrity was the sweet VR edition with the red (burgundy?) interior instead of the plain old Eurosport gray. Those wilder interiors were probably as much a reflection of the culture and the time period as much as a cost-savings philosophy.

Let me put it this way: one of the requirements to drive the weinermobile is to be a college senior or very recent grad. So you have a bunch of under 25's putting in long highway miles in an RV with waterproof vinyl seats and stain hiding bowling-alley carpet.

That interior absolutely smells like salty weiner with undertones of simple green.

I almost forgot about that time.

    86 Cimarron. :anonymous:

Interior was yellow. Yellow leather, yellow felt headliner, tan dash and steering wheel. I was pimping in high school. :anonymous::anonymous:

I always tried to trade it for grandad's 78 Bronco. That one was all green on the inside; green painted metal dash, green vinyl seats with silver piping, and green plush carpet. It was gorgeous for a 6 MPG monster.

    20160925_205737.jpg

He promised to let me have some wheel time on the trails if I would humor him and wear my 90s shitkicker jeans that day. He said we had to show them Wasatch hillbillies how to dress.

The new tundra red seats are great looking too. I love the subtle camo pattern on them.
