FWIW, the sales guy was pushing HARD on me. LOL he said this truck would be sold in a couple of days... I said, "so what do you care if I buy it then, you'll still sell it". Man, buying a vehicle from a dealer is such a game of bullshit talk.

Ya I don't even like stopping for parts at my dealership, they are literally like sharks, I tell them I'm just here for parts and they are still relentless, trying to buy my current car, sell me anything, etc.....

It's one of the few places I give myself permission to be an asshole. LOL the sales guy didn't have a card to give me and wrote down his info with a crayon. I told him: "what, you haven't graduated to using pens yet?".

A lot of you are saying “ordered” my truck. What do you mean exactly?

I have 3 deposits at 3 dealerships. Does that mean I have 3 orders?

or is it when they call you to tell you they have allocated the model you’re looking for and start the process? Because, technically, you can back out and get your deposit refunded when the truck delivers to the dealer.

Casting a wider net to get the truck he wants.

I shafted myself by sticking with one dealer to try to get an Army Green truck, ended up settling for white at a different dealer because "idk when/if you'll get one, 1-3 more months, that's it I promise" (more or less) after waiting 3 months.

Hopefully they're all refundable, at least. I had one dealer tell me it was a non-refundable $1k deposit at a minimum, after spending 20 minutes on the phone with them. Yeah no thanks. No other dealer around me was asking for that, from Pennsylvania to Maine.

That's what I looked for (looking for, if I can find an AG).

Called a dealer 20 minutes from my house and the AG they had was sold, but they had a white one being built that almost exactly matched what I wanted. Jumped on it and signed a P.O., because who the hell knows when I'll find another 6MT for sale.

Just have to wait another 5 weeks for it to get here, unless I drive my wife nuts talking about it and she kills me.

Don’t get too excited, they all have that differential whine and then you have to do maintenance at irregular intervals based on the alignment of the planets and angle of the sun

That's a cute picture of your wife and you waited a year for that truck. Cool

How did you get it so cheap. Did they give you 3k over 2019 msrp or 2022 msrp

They gave me 3K over MSRP for the 2019. They did want a 10k markup, but I talked them down and then got them to take money off everything they called me to tell me that it was delayed.

Outstanding. I paid 300 more for it, but it came with the dealer options I canceled (fabric protection, bed lighting etc). Plus my dealership adds a LIFETIME power train warranty for all new purchases (https://www.toyotaofirving.com/store-to-door-warranty/). Paid 46k TTL out the door. On Carmax my vehicle with a few thousand miles are averaging around 46 with out TTL. So I feel like I got a great deal!
