    I am sad to hear this news. Very sad. I remember a wonderfully lively phone call with Rick, helping him troubleshoot something I had sent him, after my group run, sitting on my friend’s front stoop one Sunday morning not too long ago. I’ll hang onto that memory as a special connection to a special dude.

    I just saw this and I'm so sorry for your loss. Often times when loved ones pass they have unique ways of letting us know they're still watching over us and thinking about us. Look for the signs. I remember a post I made around last December when I ordered some Diode Dynamics SS3 Max fog lights to go with my LED pro headlights. Rick was very interested in seeing the finished install as he had the same headlights. I didn't know him personally, but enjoyed his automotive style and sense of humor on his posts. :hattip:

    Rick would hope we'd be celebrating this time with jokes. It's great medicine for our souls to make sure we do what he'd want Scott. I'm with you. I'd follow anyone with 4 posts anywhere Brother.

    Yesterday i jump in my truck and grab the Icon shifter knob and it hit me. Rick has sent me his old TRD knob form his second gen. and I passed it on later when I went to update the look to an Icon, which I blacked out. Rick told me he would send me his old Icon. Instead he ordered me anew one and sent it to me. Still playing with his knob daily......................That is all

    I was actually thinking, instead of just giving our condolences maybe we could or should write the ways the Rick touched us individually.

    My story is;
    I have the Icon shift knob that I also had given to me from Rick. He had posted it up for free and sent it to me. A while later, we were at a meet together and he noticed my rear panel on my softopper was so scratched up you couldn't even see through it. That night I got a PM from Rick asking me for my address. I told him NO don't you do it! His response was "you know I have your address in a PM don't make me look for it!" A few days later I had a new rear panel for my topper sent to me by him. The last time I personally saw him I was buying my traction mats from him. Of course he was trying to give stuff to me that wasn't included in the deal. I actually had to mention to him to stop and that I still owed him some drinks for the topper panel he had gotten for me.

    Going back to the 1st time I met him was at a meet in a Walmart parking lot. We didn't talk much but he had said to me "when I get rid of my truck I don't know what I'll get next". I said "get rid of it? It's almost brand new" he said "you don't know me, I never keep a vehicle for more than a couple of years and I never get the same vehicle twice!" Well he kept his second gen for something like 5 years and he traded it in for a 3rd gen. The Taco bug had hit Rick hard! Lol

    RIP Rick. You are sorely missed!

    If you have a story about Rick please tell it so his family can fully understand his impact to so many of us!
